Nike Cleat Cake With Soccer Ball Cupcakes

This is a groom's cake for a groom who loves soccer. Shoe cake was chocolate with Vanilla Bean Cream Cheese filling covered in buttercream and fondant. Soccer balls are lemon cupcakes topped with a Merkel's candy coating dome and then fondant panels. I got the dome candy molds from Wilton. The cupcakes were more labor intensive than the shoe!

Winnie the Pooh sculptured hunny pot with Winnie and Tigger characters. Made molds from plastic characters and then used gumpaste painted with food coloring to create sugar characters on top of cake and cupcakes. Hunny pot was cake cut into shape, covered with orange fondant, painted with a light coat of brown.

Island Birthday Cake

This was a fun cake to make. I got some inspiration from a couple of cakes on cakecentral (ID=1406440 and ???) . I can't find the other cake. If I do, I will post. All the figures were gumpaste. The sand was light brown sugar and the rest buttercream. The palm tree was the killer because I didn't make it on time and was last minite trying to make sure that the royal icing was holding up the heave leaves :-)

I learned how to cut the pillow from the Advanced Design Using Cricut Cake and Design Studio DVD. Perfect instructions! Cake contains Simple Chocolate Mousse by chele_belle here on Cake Central.

Monkey Baby Shower Cake

My first Baby Shower Cake. Used Simple Chocolate Ganache and Dulce De Leche fillings and Buttercream Dream found on Cake Central with my mon's cake recipe :-) My friends love the cakes. Used the Cake Cricut and Duff's Cark Chocolate Fondant for the scroll Message panel but wrote out the letters in buttercream. (Don't like Duff's fondant). Everything else is fondant and gumpaste.
