A dreamsicle cake, & she wanted orange & cream coloring to match, & dots and stripes. I wasn't sure how that combo was going to look on a one tier cake, but it worked out much better than I was afraid it was going to!
For Mother's Day :) I cheated and used the same design I'd done for a wedding cake the weekend before, excpet in round. Hand painted hydrangeas, chocolate pearls, 10" round cherry-vanilla swirl cake.
Just like my other bear in diaper, but different colors. This was for a multi-mom baby shower, there were three of them. Two were expecting girls and one a boy, thus the pink-blue-pink pattern on the tiles & bears. 10" square chocolate cake.
My first wedding cake, exactly what the bride wanted! MFF, chocolate pearls, 12" tuxedo, 10" dreamsicle, 8" cherry vanilla swirl, 6" chocolate raspberry truffle, off-set squares. Soooo much time spent handpainting all the hydrangea's, but I love how they turned out :)
This was a fun cake! The bear took way longer than I thought though lol. Three layer (banana, strawberry, chocolate) 10" square.
It's the school logo on the cake, did three identical ones.
For a baptism
WASC cake died brown (he doesn't like choc cake!); candy melt shells w/ a touch of food coloring amd two crushed up oreo cookies, and more of the mixture daubed on w/ my fingers after the shell was mostly set to give it texture, candy lettuce, cheese & tomatoes, and buttercream sour cream.
He couldn't pick just one lol! The spiderman is a toy.
For a good bye party. Stickers were printed out & laminated, no time to get an edible image done.
A couple of people tried to move it down to the entree part of the pot luck table lol! I wasn't entirely happy with the sauce color, it was perfect the night before but darkened up, I forgot to take that into account.
Andgel food cake. Very easy, & the kids loved it!
Simple duff roses w/ pearl dust. The purple on the sides is just daubs of violet food coloring, didn't have time for anything else.
The pink duabs on the side are rolyal icing, had some I wanted to get rid of lol.
9" & 7" tiers, each 6" high. Fondant & chocolate clay accents.
All fondant but the ponies, the one's in the cake were decapitated ;) Two tall layers of cake, 7' then 9", w a small 5" on top, & then carved/shaped..
Looked just like the boys jersey's.
For a contest at DH's work w/ the theme 'the movies'. It won! All gumpaste accents, but everything took way longer to dry than I thought - of course!
Dots are in the school colors.
