Gator Cake And Crawfish Pot
Wasn't sure if this went under animal or food! lol I make alligator cakes all the time but they usually look much cuter than this guy. This was for a groom's cake and they asked that the gator look a little more realistic...okay...a little. Crawfish pot, potatoes, corn and the emblem on the cake is the company emblem...so that is copyright protected. I had permission to use that for the cake...just thought I would mention in case someone wanted to borrow the design. The pot was 10" round cakes...ring at the top is modeling chocolate....grass and cattails in the background are gumpaste/fondant mix. Cake is airbrushed

Snowflake Wedding Cake
This is all cake for a real wedding. Design inspired by Bronwen...bride brought me pictures and wanted snowflakes instead of flowers on the cake. It was much larger than I expected it to be. Snowflakes are gumpaste and the whole thing glittered and sparkled with hologram glitters. It was pretty

Fist Of Rock Cake
This is my version of the Ace of Cakes Fist of Rock cake. It was requested for a birthday party and had to travel a good two hours for delivery. The arm is made of tinted white modeling chocolate and is hand sculpted. The back of the hand (of which I have no photograph) featured a "tattoo" of a state college which was done in black and blue airbrush color and pressed on with a stamp that I made. The cake was completely airbrushed for the color effect. Flames made from pulled sugar stand on the top of the cake in the lighter airbrush color to make them look like they are lit up. The band name logos are edible image prints. There are also thin squiggly lines of silver mixed into piping gel piped up the cake sides like silver cracks in the fondant. I was very pleased with the way it came out...I love art cakes.

Black Damask With Bright Flowers
This four tier hexagon cake was covered in homemade white chocolate fondant and then stenciled with black royal icing. The bright colored gumpaste flowers were handmade and included Calla Lilies, Roses, Hydrangea, Hypericum berries, Daisies, Small fillers and Sweet peas. Small fondant ribbon trimmed the bottom edges of the cake and were finished with a little bow in the front. The pattern was heavier toward the top of the cake and less was applied on the lower tiers. The cake was amaretto with chopped maraschino cherries and shaved milk chocolate added to the batter and the same was added to the Bavarian cream filling between the tiers. It was as delicious as it was beautiful.

Duckie In A Bathtub
3-13 inch oval cakes. Holes were pre drilled in the board and large Wooden Dowels are screwed into a 14x18 3/4 inch plywood board AFTER THE FLOOR WAS PUT ON THE BOARD. I put Hidden pillars cut to the same length over the dowels and glued them down with hot glue. The pillars are wrapped with fondant and then the feet and details were added. The cake on it's own heavy board were then hot glued to the top of the wooden dowels. Ducks, Water, Soap and towel are all edible and handmade.

Pill Bottle Cake
This cake was made for a pharmacist groom. He and his mother chose the wording for the lable on the cake. The little heart shaped pills have thier initials on them and the pharmacy logo was where he worked. The lable and wording were printed on edible image paper and glued with piping gel over a thin layer of white fondant.

Farm Theme Baby Shower
This was a really cute barnyard scene cake. I used stencils pressed into fondant and then cut around them to make the animals. the fondant was then left to dry and airbrushed. The little hay bales are fondant pressed through a clay gun and then balled into rectangular shapes. The colors were chosen to match the nursery for the baby.
