Toolbox 4 Dad
my dad owns more tools than anyone I know so I made this toolbox cake for him for his b-day. It's my first 3-d cake and also the first time I ever put fondant on a square cake. I think it turned out pretty good. Still need to work on keeping the bc from oozing out the seems. At the last minute I decided to write "craftsman" on the front and didnt do a very good job at centering it. Oh well. Dad liked it and thats what counts, right?

Soccer T
I made this for my kids soccer organization. Tshirt is covered in bc with a fbct logo, ball is also covered in bc. Mini cupcakes are also covered in bc. I wanted to come up with something to write across the "grass cupcakes" but unfortunately I ran out of time and ideas. I got a lot of great comments on it but I really wished that I had the time to come up with something , it looks so empty . oh well.

Woodworker's B-Day
1/2 choc. 1/2 yellow cake , 14" round double layer covered in bc with fondant/gumpaste tools and nails. Used a loaf pan to make the "2x4 lumber" also covered in bc. This was my first time making decorations with fondant (besides swags), I was pretty happy with the way it all turned out.

Weddingsample.jpg
This is my first attemp (just for practice) at the wedding cake that I am doing for my sister in September. The real cake will be 4 or 5 tiers high. I was very dissapointed with the push in pillars that I used for this cake ( they are very wobbly) so I went out and bought the 5 " curved pillars instead.
