Taco Birthday
My daughter came home from college for her b'day and was so excited to see there was Taco Bell food for her waiting. Fooled her! Choc. cake for meat; coconut for lettuce/cheese; cut up gummies for tomatoes; bc for sour cream. Shells are chocolate I formed over a dowel. This was so much fun and quick to make.

A Little Thank You!
A smaller version of another Oreo cake I've made. This was a Thank You to someone who helped me with a project. Dark chocolate 6" cake with oreo filling and BC frosting. Crushed Oreos on the side and top as well as mini oreos around the bottom. I rushed this a bit and didn't bother smoothing the sides. Still smelled so yummy.

"hungry" Birthday
Picture didn't photo well, but frosting was all one color. This is the Weight Watcher mascot called Hungry. My daughter loves him. Cake is WASC and Chocolate layers for a double treat. Filled with strawberry mousse. All buttercreme frosting. It's true what they say about temp of house when frosting....my AC went out and the frosting kept falling off the cake.

Stacey's Baby Shower
I learned so much making this cake! Thanks to Beth (bethola) for all her help & encouragement during this stressful endeavor. WASC cake with Cream Cheese Strawberry Mousse filling. BC frosting with MMF accents. The checkerboard border was the same as on her invitations, and every baby deserves a little 'bling'.

April Fool's Taco Salad
Playing pranks on my kids never gets old! This year they thought I forgot. Nope. Taco salad. The meat is choc. ice cream mixed with cake scraps for texture. Coconut dyed for the cheese and lettuce; blk. licorice for the olives; cherries for the tomatoes; Cool Whip for the sourcream; and a real flour tortilla that I formed and baked and sprinkled with cinnamon/sugar on the inside. Oh, we really are having taco salads for dinner. Hey, why not have dessert first! Works for me!
