Ashlynn's Birthday Last Minute
This cake started out as my son's (the funny wavy shape). It was going to be a truck with sky in the background. I had it iced blue, then found out we were not able to go out of town to celebrate his birthday (postponed 2 weeks). I didn't want to eat the cake or throw it away, so I called a friend and her daughter's bday was the next day! Funny coincidence. I asked what she liked and peace signs came up, so this is what I did in an hour. I thought this cake could be a blessing to her and hopefully tastier than a supercenter cake! White cake, fondant accents. Airbrush colors paintbrushed on.

Mom's Pink Coach Cake
This was made the same day as my dad's 60th B-Day Salt Lake City cake. My parents' b-days are a week apart, so they each got a cake when I visited. This is a white cake covered in fondant (my 1st!) painted with lemon extract and pink luster dust. I made a stencil and just dabbed the color on, then went back with a tiny brush to fill in. The zipper is painted with gold luster dust. This is my 1st fondant cake and purse cake- it took forever!

Dad's Salt Lake City Cake
This cake was a birthday cake for my dad who turned 60. He was leaving for a trip to the next day for a rock and mineral excavation with a group who does this as a hobby. The "salt" is raw sugar and it looks kind of funny having the white icing along the coast, but it was supposed to give the idea of salt. Piping gel for water. Fondant trees, rest is buttercream.
