Electrical Engineer, Artist, Corvette Enthusiast's 50Th Birthday!
And if that wasn't enough, his wife also wanted to include that he was a loving grandfather, brother, husband, friend. Whew, daunting at first. I couldn't imagine it all on one cake and not look like a big mess. The "paintings" are edible images of the man's own oil paintings. The paint brushes are gumpaste/fondant. The top tier is the electrical tier- you can't see, but there is an edible image circuit board and then fondant wires and plug at the base of the top tier. Bottom tier has edible plaque covette.

Daniel's Doggie
Made with Hershey's chocolate cake recipe using lamb pan. And yes, the head started to hang and eventually fell off due to the weight. So, as suggested here on CC :) I made a mini circle of cardboard covered in freezer wrap with a dowel underneath for the head. Much more secure. I should have done that from the beginning. BC frosting with fondant accents

Snowflakes With Hot Cocoa Mug
This cake was for my boys' school's scholastic fundraiser- blizzard theme. Royal snowflakes (and mug handle) on buttercream. It's hard to see in the picture but about 1/3 of the snowflakes have a silver dragee in the center (matches the invitation). Chocolate with cookies and cream filling for large layer and yellow with strawberries for smaller two layers. I baked the mug inside a large mug :)
