Dino-Mite Birthday Party
My son's 6th birthday cake. Volcano was made from the doll cake pan. Cruched oreos give a "dirt" effect. Dinosaurs and palm trees are all plastic. white boulder rocks are actually clumps of "puppy chow" A.K.A. chex cereal mixed with melted chocolate and PB dusted in powder sugar. Lava is red tinted pipping gel.

Asian Themed Graduation Cake
This cake was done for a girl that was having an asian themed graduation party. Her mother gave me an envelope with the symbols and asked to incorporate them onto the cake. It was something she wanted to keep between her and her daughter. First time attempting the writings and boy was it challenging! Apple blossoms were made from MMF. TFL

Mini Cupcake Bouquet
This was my first time attempting a cupcake bouquet. Made 3 of these for my mom, mother-in-law and grandmother for our mother's day luncheon. Next time I will place the cupcakes onto the styrofoam (ball) BEFORE I decorate the cupcakes. Trial and error I guess. Buttercream flowers were made to look like roses and hydrangeas.

Police Detective Retirement Cake
This cake was done for a Detective that was retiring after serving the community for 33 years. The customer ordering the cake wanted to incorporate both time served in the military as well as the police force. This was the design idea that was sent to me. Full sheet cake (half chocolate and half vanilla) with buttercream frosting. The patch and badge are made from MMF. At my husband's request, I photographed the cake BEFORE I added the Detectives and and badge numbe. Thanks for looking

Fondant Practice
3 layer dark chocolate fudge cake with vanilla buttercream covered in a buttercream flavored MMF. Silver sugar ball accents. I made this cake to practice working with a fondant recipe I found here on CC. It has been a LOOONNGGG time since I attempted covering a cake in fondant (about 3 years). Pretty happy with the results :)
