30Th Birthday Stars Present Cake

For my husbands 30th. Based on Planet Cake exploding starts design. First time making and using MMF. Mud cake with choc buttercream filling and MMF fondant covering :) Was happy how much the end result looked like a present.

2 Tier Mudcake with chocolate buttercream filling and vanilla buttercream icing. Roses are fondant. Bottom tier is piped cornelli lace decoration :) Used heart pans.

Mini Pink Cupcakes

Mini cupcakes for the children at my Nan's 80th Birthday. Vanilla cupcakes with 2-tone pink vanilla buttercream icing. Decorations are royal icing and fondant decorations that I had left over from other cakes :)

Cuddly Lion

Lion from Wilton Yearbook 2011 (modified paws), vanilla pound cake with buttercream icing, cookie paws, fondant curls for mane (used the wrong fondant, way to soft so kept brakeing and falling off...). Had a disaster on the 2 hour drive to deliver (was for my cousin's baby shower), lion fell backwards and lost his tail, damaged a paw and lost lots of mane, luckily I brought some left over icing with me so did a dodgey patch up!

Tall Red White 50Th Birthday Cake

First try at a tall cake, 3 x 8" (stood just over 10" high). Took 4 times to fondant it! Keep ripping all around the top from the weight, think the fondant I used was too soft (PME). 3 tiers are Chocolate mud cake with ganache filling. Used the Wilton imprint mat and filled design with royal icing. First time using the mat also. Roses and banner are fondant with gum tex. Only recently learnt the roses, first try at making bigger ones. Overall am happy with the result.

Sesame Street Cupcakes 1St Birthday

Sesame cupcakes I made for my daughter's first birthday. 8 hours of just the icing decorating! I was so tired by the end, but so happy with how they turned out. Strawberry cupcakes with cream cheese icing. The little cupcakes were carrot cakes. Characters were Elmo, Big Bird, Grouch and Cookie Monster.

Vanilla cupcakes with vanilla butter-cream icing. (There was supposed to be a lid standing up but i made it out of fondant and it was a hot day so it was not stable enough to use)
