Flip flops and glasses are gum paste, suntan oil is modeling chocolate, and coconut is ricekrispy covered in fondant airbrushed with piping gel tropical punch and a sugar orchid. brown sugar/cookie sand and chocolate shells.

This is my version of the popular slumber party cake. Thanks to all of you for your wonderful cakes. The Mom came to me with many pictures from CC and had picked every aspect of the scene. I took it and added my own touches. The entire top was removable and kept. The cake matched the inside of the announcement. The rug on the floor of the room matched the paper pattern of the invite. The birthday girl on the right is holding a teddy that matches Annebelle's actual teddy. Each of the girls had hair the same color as the guests. The flowers on the board were fondant candle holders. The cake on the night stand had an 8 on the top. Such a fun cake topper. Thanks again for all your inspiration.

This was for a very casual lakeside wedding and BBQ. They wanted something very simple with the flowers being the showpiece. Loved making the flowers for this cake. The groom is a coffee roaster so one tier was marble cake with a coffee cream filling, one tier was chai cake with cardamon pastry cream, and the top tier was chocolate fudge cake with ganache , nougat, caramel and chopped peanut filling inspired by the bride's love of Snickers. There were also 3 small side cakes of the same flavors with the same sugar flowers.

This was for a gentleman's 50th birthday party. He is a big horse racing fan and his wife surprised him with this cake. She wanted something sophisticated and elegant using red, white and black with touches of silver. I used some racing silks as inspiration for the patterns and added the dragees for a neat metallic touch. Large fondant loopy bow with tails. There were also some horseshoes on the board which he likes and for good luck for the future.

Sweet Sixteen cake. Sushi is RKT wrapped in fondant with coconut, jelly beans and icing as decorations. Omelet is lemon cake on RKT iced and rolled in unsweetened coconut.. Chop sticks and cookies are gum paste. Messages in the cookies were printed with edible ink on rice paper. Gum paste tissue paper. The ribbon on the bag was the only inedible part. Cake was fudge with ganache and lemon cream with lime curd.

The colors in the flowers also incorporated the Irish flag colors of green, white, and orange. The cake was a dark fudge cake with chocolate ganache. Fondant covered, airbrushed then scroll work guilded with gold. The verse on the board is an Irish toast with royal icing shamrocks.

Cake bottom matched party napkins and fairy matched the birthday girl. Topper was made out of carved foam covered with fondant. Decorations and Fairy were made out gumpaste. Mom wanted something special that her daughter could keep in her room after the cake was gone. Cake was 1/2 chocolate with chocolate ganache, the other half was vanilla bean with white chocolate ganache. The two layers were married together with vanilla pastry cream. Buttercream icing air brushed.
