Hi! I made this cake for a girl's 11th birthday. It is a white cake with nutella buttercream filling. Buttercream icing, gel pond and fondant snowballs and snowflakes. Edible image wrapped around the bottom. This is the first time I attempted to make penguins and they weren't as hard to make as I thought. They did take a few days to make. Orange Cake
Hi! I made for the first time an Orange WASC cake with a Chocolate buttercream filling (just posted in one of the forums) and vanilla buttercream frosting. I was getting tired of always having to make the frosting so smooth so I made the sides and top rough by pulling the spatula away from the cake. Then I piped chocolate buttercream on the border. Overall I think I like the different texture of the frosting for once. It is a change from the normal cakes I make. Any suggestions or comments are always welcome. Thanks for looking!

Birthday Cake
Hi! I made this cake for a friend and was experimenting also. It is a 6, 5, 4 & 3 inch cakes. The bottom 2 have a light layer of filling inside of it. I also tried for the first time to wrap the bottom layer in two tone chocolate. Didn't come out too bad but I had trouble wrapping it using one strip. I had to use a smaller piece also. Any suggestions? I also tried to drizzle ganache down the sides but it wasn't doing what I needed to it do. It was one of those days. The cakes are frosted with buttercream & buttercream roses. It came out okay and she liked it. Thanks for looking.

Vanilla butter cake (recipe from here) with coconut chocolate chip filling on the top & whipped cream with cherry & almonds on the bottom. Covered in buttercream icing with fondant ribbon roses (which took forever to make). On top is a hot pink gelatin bow. Second attempt in making one. Thanks to Loucinda who helped me with the bow.

Hi! I'm not sure what I would call them actually. Anyway, I made a 9 x 13 chocolate cake with caramel filling. I then cut cicles out of the cake and then covered them with bittersweet chocolate ganache. I finished them by putting them in the low large cupcake holders and added a buttercream flower and leaf. Wizard Of Oz Cake
Hi and thanks for looking! This is a 2 tiered vanilla cake with fudge filling. Buttercream icing and fondant flowers and yellow brick road. I used pretzels and dipped them in green chocolate and then in green sugar for the Emerald City. The characters are card stock stickers that I cut out and then put them on toothpicks and put them on the cake. I also got ruby slipper scrapbook paper and covered the cake board with it.

Hi! My 9 year old daughter and I put this cake together for her Junior Girl Scout Bake Off. It is a 3 layer chocolate truffle cake with bittersweet chocolate ganache filling. The cake is covered with buttercream and then with semisweet chocolate ganache. I used a vanilla buttercream as that is what I had in the freezer. We also made chocolate triangles with the chocolate transfer paper. This is the first time I made them. They were a lot of fun to make, however, I found that they melt easy. Maybe it was the type of chocolate I used. Any ideas why this would happen? Thanks for looking.
