"the End" Book Cake
(I apologize for the dark photo) This cake was made for a "Spring Book Swap Brunch." The cake ended up quite small, as I kept cutting and cutting to shape it... but it still adequately fed the bunch. Next time I will attempt to create the leather-book-cover look that some talented folks on this site have created.

Wedding Band Cake W/teacup
This is my first attempt at using fondant. This is inspired by a Martha Stewart design for a china cake: the teacup on top has a gold band, and the gold ribbons mimic that. Scratch choc and vanilla cakes with buttercream icing and mmf. The olive leaves symbolize peace and fertility.
