Baby Buggy
A customer brought me a picture of a cake very similar to this and wanted me to make it for her. I don't mind doing copy cakes but I'd rather do something of my own design. The original cake was fondant but she wanted all butter cream. With all that black I am just hoping people weren't walking around with purple teeth at the shower.

Ribbon And Flowers
8" real strawberry, 10" lemon-raspberry, & 12" french vanilla-orange marmilade all frosted in almond buttercream. This was a last minute cake order with less than 2 weeks notice. The cake looked really good (smooth buttercream and straight ribbons) in my kitchen but I couldn't stack it becausethe person picking it up had to transport it in the trunk of their car. I gave them very simple instruction for stacking the cake but they didn't seam to get it. They missed the support of the top cake ( which I left sticking up out of the cake so they could fing them and then just let the cake sink into place) and although you can't see it in this picture, the top cake was almost falling off the back. They sent me pictures from different angle and I picked the best one. They said they were still happy with the cake and everyone raved about the flavors so i guess it wasn't so bad but I still think people should just pay the deliver fee when they order their wedding cake because thats not one you want to mess up after paying all that money.

Bassinet
My sister asked me to do a last minute cake for a baby shower. She needed it to feed about 20 people and wanted soft buttercream, not crusting and no fondant. The soft buttercream didn't hold the ruffles as stiff and crisp as I would have like and in the end it looked more like a house shoe than a bassinet.

Chocolate Overload
I had an order for a wedding and grooms cake to be picked up today. I told the bride that whoever picked up the cakes would need plenty of flat area and a good AC for the cakes and made sure to tell her this cake couldn't travel far. The person who came to pick up the cakes only had room for the cakes in the trunk of the car, in this 100 deg heat and they would be traveling for over an hour to the reception. I hope it made it and if not after they step off my porch the survival of the cake is up to them.
