Little Cheerleader
This cake is for a little girl who is having a cheer themed party. Her school colors are black and red. After I finished it I realized that it would work for a graduation cake too for a cheerleader. I was happy with the way it came out but there are a few things I would do differently if I did it again. All fondant except the silhouettes and pom poms, they are royal icing.

Dr. Seuss Baby Shower
I made this cake for a friend who decorated her nursery with Dr. Seuss and wanted her shower the same. The picture is a bit difficult to make out because it was at a church kitchen and the lighting was horrible. It is "Thing 1&2" sitting on top of "Yertle the Turtle" who is sleeping on a pillow with his teddy bear. Next down is a book cake "The Foot Book" which is sitting on top of a 10" hexagon with a clotheline scene including "Cat in the Hat" hats and "Lorax" trees. This one was lots of fun to make!

Magic Bunny
This was for a special 7 year old girl I know. Her daddy does table magic for kids at a children's hospital and she wanted to have a magic birthday party. I wasn't really happy with how the fondant turned out on the bunny but other than that it was fun to see it come together. All fondant. 9" rounds stacked. Bunny is sports ball pan.

Giant Girly Cupcake
Made to match invites and decorations for a 1 year old little girl. My first cupcake so far and I loved doing it. The mother specifically requested buttercreme but in the future, if I do it again, I will make the "cupcake liner" out of pink fondant instead. When I dropped off the cake the little girl looked at it, then at me and then back at the cake and then said something with 2 syllables. And I asked her mom what she said and she says...she said "Did good"!!! I thought it was so cute!! TFL!!

Elexis' Dress
This was to replicate the dress that the birthday girl was to wear for her quincinera (hispanic celebration for a girl's 15th birthday.) The dress was very detailed and I tried to incorporate that as much as possible without overwhelming the white on the cake. This is covered in fondant and the piping is done in red buttercreme. I wish I would have gotten a picture of the girl standing beside the cake, it turned out very similar. Thanks for looking!

Black Forest Groom's Cake
This was the groom's cake that was made to go with the wedding cake. I cut letters out to match the font of the wedding cake topper that I made which matched all of her invites, thank yous, etc. I just laid them on the top of the white iced cake and then dusted it with cocoa powder and then lifted the paper. I was really happy with the way that it turned out except the wedding was outdoors so the cocoa blew a little when I took it out of the box. Thank you for looking!

Another Spiderman
I know that we have all seen this one before but this one was a first for me. I haven't ever done this one with the wig head before, I have only used a styofoam ball and shaped it myself. When I read the directions for the wig head it was one of those "duh" moments!! It was SOOOO much easier. I had some trouble getting the black lines straight and correct on him and I wasn't happy about the placement of his eyes but I learned alot for next time. Thanks for looking!

High School Musical Cake
Made this for a little girl I know that is in LOVE with Zac Efron. the cake is frosted in buttercreme with edible images of the main characters around the sides. the name and the 8 are candy melts with dragees stuck on to resemble the lettering of the movie title. the jersey and basketball are fondant and the sheet music is rice paper. Thanks for looking.

Victoria's Secret Fan
I made this cake for a friend's daughter who is into Victoria Secret and their new "PINK" line, specifically the little dogs. The mother was specific about the dog being on there somewhere. It is made of rice krispies and fondant, the "bag" cake is fondant covered with thinned food color painted stripes. The bra is gumpaste, the gift cards are edible images. I wasn't happy with how this one came out but I got two more orders for a cake "exactly like this one" so I will use what I learned on those.

Beach Baby
I made for one of my bosses who is a guy. He and his wife went on vacation in HI about 8 months ago and miraculously turned up pregnant shortly after!! ;o) Anyway, they live right on the beach of Lake Michigan and he has said that the baby will love the beach as much as he does so......this is what I decided upon. All the decorations are fondant/gumpaste. The cake itself is pina colada cake with toasted coconut sprinkled between the layers. Frosted with buttercreme made with coconut milk. Thanks!!

Fairy
this was for a friend's daughter who specifically requested a fairy cake with butterflies and pink roses on it. The roses look a little red in the picture but they were actually pink. I had fun making the various elements on this cake. The snail, mushrooms, flowers, name and skirt were all done in MMF. The bodice and grass are buttercream. The wings and butterflies are wafer paper. Thanks for looking!!

Multi Pattern Sports
this is for a girl who is a tomboy and plays a lot of sports. Her mom wanted something girly and she wanted something with sports so I added the balls on the top to reflect the sports she plays (basketball, softball and bowling). Purple and gold are her school colors and what she wanted. The balls didn't dry very well so they were a little squished but she still liked it. All fondant and/or gumpaste

Twins Pea Pod
I made this cake for some friends that are twins whose birthday is tomorrow. They both coach softball and they both bowl so that is what the 3rd and 4th peas are. I am really happy with how the pea pod came out, I have been wanting to try one for awhile but they are the only twins I know! Sorry the picture is a little fuzzy. Not sure what happened. Thanks for looking!

Baby On A Cloud
this was a cake for a friend who left the theme up to me. I found this saying and loved it so I decorated the cake around it. If you can't see the star with the saying it says "babies are little pieces of heaven". The baby, moon, and stars are all fondant. The large cloud is a white cake with mixed berry filling and the smaller clouds are chocolate raspberry cupcakes. I put all of the stars in a ziploc bag with disco dust to give them a shine. You can't see it too much here. Thanks for looking!

Basket Of Yellow Flowers
This was ordered by a husband for a lady's 50th birthday. When I asked him what she liked ALL he could tell me was flowers, and the color yellow!!! So this is what I came up with. I was unhappy with the color of the board that I chose, I think it would have been more striking if I had used black but hindsight is 20/20 right? Thanks for looking!

Baby Cookies
I made these cookies for a friend at work for her daughter's baby shower. She told me at the last minute that she wanted her daughter's name on them so I had to improvise with the wafer paper ribbons. They look ok but I was dissappointed that they took away from some of the designs. Thanks for looking!

St. Patrick's Day Cookies
I made these cookies to practice for an upcoming St. Pat's Day celebration/bake sale at church. I got the vintage postcard pictures online and printed them on edible paper. I was happy with how they turned out, I think I will make the next batch a little bigger so you can see the art better. Thanks for looking!

Baby Shower/super Bowl Combo
this was made for a coworker who is having her baby via c-section on Super Bowl Sunday. We live in Chicago so of course we are all Bears fans but we also work with quite a few people from Indiana and they are Colts fans so there is a good healthy rivalry going on at the office. The mom to be wanted a Super Bowl Themed baby shower so this is what I came up with. Hope you like it.
