Over The Hill
I made this for a co-worker who turned 50 last week. Tombstone and woman are fondant. It was a last minute request so it's a little sloppy. It was 3 layer chocolate with chocolate mousse filling and buttercream icing. I did not use any dowels on this cake and it shifted a little on the drive to work. From now on I will put a little support in my 3 layer cakes.

50Th Birthday
Sorry the picture is so small! This was for a lady's 50th birthday. The only thing I didn't like about this cake was that I couldn't get my buttercream smooth. I used a different brand of butter and the icing never would crust. I use the VIVA method and it didn't work with a non-crusting buttercream! I finally gave up because I was just making it worse! Anyway, the client liked it!

Piroulette Birthday Cake
I liked how this cake turned out, but I may never make one like it again. The cookies are expensive and I invested $20 on them just to have enough to go around the cake. So many of them were broken or crushed when I opened the can - I had to send my husband back to the store for more! This was also a FREE cake for a co-worker' birthday so it really hurt my pocketbook!!

Luau Birthday
This was for a little girl at my church who was having a luau themed birthday party. The mother purchased the ducks and flip-flops, I added the umbrellas, palm trees and chocolate shells. Sand is crushed graham crackers. I HATED my writing on this cake! I think it ruined an otherwise cute cake - but the customers loved it anyway.

Wedding Dress Bridal Shower Cake
I go the inspiration for this cake here at CC. This was for a girl at work that we had a shower for. Cake was vanilla with white chocolate mousse filling and sliced strawberry, kiwi, and pineapple. Covered in buttercream, dress plaque was FBCT, other decorations were fondant. The cake itself was so tasty that I was asked by 5 other people at work to make it for them (undecorated) just to take home for thier families!

Pink Poodle
I loved doing this cake! This was for a litlle girl's first birthday and all the mother told me was that her daughter liked dogs! My first thought was a pink poodle so that's what I went with. I found a similar cake here at CC and got my inspiration from that. The mother LOVED this cake!

Barney Birthday
I had so much fun doing this cake! The mother emailed a picture of a cake she found on the internet and asked me to make the EXACT cake. The cake is iced in buttercream. Stars and number are fondant. Characters are royal icing. I got a barney coloring page from my nephew's coloring book (sorry Hunter!) and made copies to shrink them to size. Then I just laid a piece of wax paper over them and "colored" them with royal icing. Once they dried, I popped them off and stood them on the cake.

Monkey Birthday Cake
This idea came from a few cakes I saw at here at CC. It was for a little boy's 1st birthday and all the mother asked was that it be 2 tiers with green, yellow, and blue pastels and a monkey theme. She also wanted a small matching cake just for the birthday boy to have. There originally was a 3rd monkey - but he didn't make it :( Both tiers are vanilla with buttercream and fondant accents. Monkeys are fondant.

Girl/boy Baby Shower
I was asked to do a cake for a baby shower at church for 2 women who were due at the same time. One was having a boy and the other a girl. Top tier is vanilla cake with raspberry preserves filling and white chocolate raspberry buttercream. Bottom tier is chocolate with hazelnut buttercream. Fondant accents.
