This is for a birthday cake decorating contest for a local nursing home. It is their 10 year anniversary and this was how they are going to celbrate (with a decorating contest). I have never stacked a cake, or put edible images on the sides of a cake. It turned out ok I guess, but it wasn't the WOW factor that I had in my head. The edible images kind of wrinkled and the edges kind of separated. Oh well I gave it the old college try.

Balloon Cake

I hate balloons, they are just annoyng to me, I don't care if they are acctual balloons or icing balloons. So you know how much fun I had making this little gem. Did I mention I hate balloons!!!

Pink Roses

This cake was my personal disaster. I was going to put a diamond pattern on the sides with pink pearls on it....but for some reason tonight every time I would use my impression mat it would pull the icing off. I just finally said forget it, and kind of lost inspiration for this cake. It is what it is now!!!!
