This was a groom's cake - they just wanted New Orleans Saints colors. I used the pantastic plastic fleur de lis pan and an 12" square. It was triple chocolate fudge cake with vanilla buttercream filling...
Animals and tree are shapes cut out of flat fondant. I used yellow dust to color the giraffe and then dust mixed with almond extract to paint the patterns on the zebra and giraffe. I also used food color marker on the faces. I painted animal prints on the letters also.

The hat is 6" round cakes stacked and carved then covered in fondant with some fondant pieces added to make the face. The whole thing is dusted with cocoa powder. The house shields are all fondant done by hand.

Firecracker is rice cereal treat covered in fondant and the end is a fancy toothpick. I pressed the cereal treat into my pampered chef measure-all cup and then pushed it out, but it was pretty fat, so I rolled it on the counter and made it a little longer and thinner.
