Catch Of A Lifetime!
The groom is an avid crappie fisherman and luckily my husband loves to crappie fish too and he used to do taxidermy work ages ago and was a huge help in forming and coloring the fish - which is made from gumpaste. The rocks, signs and cattails are fondant and the rest is buttercream!! Got the idea from here on CC -- thanks for looking!!

Scuba Diving Groom
This groom scuba dives as a hobby and knew right away that he wanted a treasure chest for his grooms cake. He even sent me pictures of possible ideas!! I just wish I had made 2 signs to put beside the chest - the first one would have said "Yes it is cake!" and the second would have said "The groom scuba dives for a hobby!" Don't know how many times I was asked that question during the night!! It was a hit and the groom absolutely loved it!! Thanks for looking -- and yes - I santized all of the jewels, money and jewelry before adding them to the cake. The cake is 3 9x13 stacked, the lid is shaped & carved rice krispie treats and all is covered in fondant and i grooved it to look like aged wood.

Classic Wedding Cake
This is by far my most favorite cake I have made! I used real ribbon but used a higher quality ribbon and did not have to iron on the wax paper to keep the bc from bleeding through - plus it was a little taller than I normall use and it just added to the classicness of the cake. The florist provided the hydrangeas and I placed them on the cake. I just wish I had known that they don't last long out of water - I spent most of the reception until the cake was cutting rearranging the flowers to keep them from looking so wilted!!LOL!! But a beautiful cake for a beautiful wedding!! THanks for looking

California!!
The MOB wanted the grooms cake to be all about California - including the shape! The groom is born and raised in CA - and they groom and bride met while stationed in the US Navy in San Diego! Hence - the Navy flag in the background - which was my idea to add to the cake table!! Points of interests were chosen by the MOB and the dog tags were provided by the bride - thanks for looking! I loved working with this bride and her mother!!

Chocolate Beauty!!
This is my first chocolate (or even colored) wedding cake!! I absolutely loved it and the bride and guests did too! The small pink flower bouquets were provided by the florist but left for me to place as needed. With this cake I have convinced my daughter to let me decorate their cake in chocolate for their wedding this fall. Thanks for looking!

Wedding Cake And Orchids
This was the first 'string' work I have done on a cake - at all!! Not my favorite thing to do - but was the brides design. I had issues in setting up the cake due to the large number of the wedding party waiting around for pictures to be taken and asking me 5,000 questions about it!!UGH!! But with the help of orchids brought in fresh by the MOB's sister from Hawaii - it turned out nicely. Thanks for looking!

Sugared Fruit Grooms Cake
This grooms cake was for a reception held in the grooms home area a few weeks after the wedding. The reception was at a winery which made the perfect backdrop for this cake. The grooms mother found a picture of a cake she loved and from that I made these 3 seperate cakes, sugared the fruit and covered some strawberries in chocolate. She found some metal plant stands that we used for risers for the smaller 2 cakes - which added interest to the whole theme too. The cakes were a hit with all of the guests. If you ever sugar fruit - try the small granny smith apples - those were the cutest of all of the fruit!! Thanks for looking

3D John Deere Tractor
Well - thanks to the help of my son & future son-in-law - who both farm - I was able to successfully complete my first carved tractor!! It was a stress - but a lot of fun too! The groom is a farmer and a rice-tech - so this was perfect for him. The cake was a surprise for him - her wedding cake was a cupcake wedding cake - so I would have more time to work on his cake!! She is a sweetie!! Thanks for looking!!

Cupcake Wedding Cake
This bride has been a family friend for a really long time and she is so sweet! When I met with her to see what she had in mind for her wedding cake - she said "I just want a cupcake wedding cake because it will fun and I want you to be able to spend a lot of time on the grooms cake!" How sweet is that! No bridezilla with this gal! She jumped up and down with joy when she say this and then the grooms cake! I have posted the grooms cake in that section too - its a JD tractor. But this had 4 flavors of cupcakes and a 6" square on top. DH & I made the stand and I kept it for future orders!! Thanks for looking!

Flower Garden Quilt
I tried - with an emphasis on tried - to make a 3-D fondant flower garden quilt for a 90th birthday celebration!! I even brought over my sister who can quilt -- to help and other than spending hours doing it correctly - this was our best solution and we still spent 4 hours figuring this out!! No money was made on this order - but I learned alot!! Thanks for looking!

Dogwoods & Bows
The hostesses for a bridal shower ordered 3 different flavor cakes for their table centerpieces and for serving. So since I had recently attended Jennifer Dontz gumpaste flower class and Sharon Z's/Sugarshacks cake/bow class - I decided to make dogwood blossoms in various shades for 2 of the cakes and a loopy bow to coordinate for the 3rd one. Our small town also has a dogwood/azalea festival too - that helped coordinate the cakes too. They were a hit and I have gained a few new customers from them. Thanks for looking
