Little Mermaid Cake
This was for my daughter's 7th birthday. She has been obsessed with the Little Mermaid since she was 3. Ariel didn't turn out quite as well as I had hoped it would, but my daughter loved her anyway. It is a strawberry cake with strawberry filling and strawberry buttercream covered in white chocolate MFF. All the decorations are fondant. Thanks to all the ocean/mermaid cakes on here that inspired this cake!

The cake I made for my mom's surprise 50th birthday party. I made it in a hurry while she was at work, so it isn't quite as perfect as I would have liked it to have been. She absolutely loved it though! It is inspired by another cake on here - can't remember who made it - sorry. It is 6"-9"-12" dark chocolate cake with marshmallow and caramel fillings, covered in chocolate ganache and chocolate fondant. The styrofoam wedges in between the layers are covered in chocolat fondant ribbon roses and gold gumpaste bows and balls.

Chelsea's Wedding Cake
My 1st wedding cake - made for my stepbrother and his cute new wife. 8" - cardamom cake with peach filling and cream cheese icing, 12" - dark chocolate cake with dulce de leche filling and marshmallow cream buttercream, and 16" - white chocolate cake with strawberry mousse filling and white chocolate almond buttercream. All covered in light green white chocolate fondant. The kumquats and green cymbidium orchids are made of gumpaste - my 1st gumpaste flowers, too! This cake was quite a learning experience! There are a few flaws in it, but overall I am very happy with the way it turned out and the bride and groom loved it!

Ornament Cupcakes
These were so much fun! Gingerbread cupcakes with lemon curd filling and lemon cream cheese icing, Eggnog cupcakes with eggnog cream filling and spiced whipped cream icing, Dark chocolate cupcakes with peppermint buttercream, and White velvet cupcakes with cranberry filling and swiss meringue buttercream. All topped with chocolate ornaments. I made a total of 170 of these - many, many hours!

Pippin's 50Th Anniversary - Serving Cakes
These are the cakes we served alongside the tiered cake I made for my grandparents 50th anniversary. Three of the cakes were dark chocolate with a dulce de leche filling and the other three cakes were white velvet with a black raspberry mousse filling. All covered in crusting buttercream with mmf/gumpaste flowers.

Pippin's 50Th Anniversary
This was for my grandparent's 50th Anniversary. They did not have a cake when they got married, so they wanted a big cake to cut and feed to each other, however, they were having an open-house style party, so the top and bottom tiers are dummies. The middle tier is dark chocolate with a dulce de leche filling (very rich!). All covered in crusting buttercream with mmf/gumpaste flowers. The '50' on top is gumpaste. I also made six 9" rounds to serve.

Arianne's Baby Shower
This is the cake and cupcakes I made for my sister's baby shower. They were a white cake with strawberry filling, crusting buttercream and mmf accents. The baby, footballs, and shoes are gumpaste. It was my first time using gumpaste - I was really happy with how they turned out.

Jordan's Airplane Cake
My son wanted an airplane cake for his 3rd birthday, so, thanks to inspiration from Khym, this is what he got. It was a lot of fun to make, although I did have some trouble with the airplanes (he got a hold of them while they were drying and broke some of the the propellers and messed up a few of the wings). Luckily I caught him in the act and was able to fix them. He absolutely loved the cake and is still talking about it months later.

Love Cake
This was a cake I did for Valentine's Day. I forgot to take a picture of it before I delivered it, so this picture taken with my husband's phone is all I have. It is MMF with Royal Icing Hearts and Stripes. It took forever to pipe all those delicate hearts, but I am so happy with the way it turned out.

Dog Birthday Cake
This was for my son's 2nd birthday. It was my first carved cake. I wanted a cake that looked like the stuffed dog he carries everywhere and got this idea from Brenda_1 on the Wilton website. It is chocolate cake and I used the 233 tip all over. The nose ended up being a little longer than I wanted and I had a hard time getting the tail to stand up, but my son loved it!
