Ed Camp Cake
This cake was for a conference in Birmingham, Alabama called Ed Camp. It is a conference for teachers and technology. My husband is one of the organizers of the event and so I always get asked to donate a cake. It had to feed 150 people. I saw on this site where someone had done a QR code cake and it actually scanned. I thought that would be perfect for a technology conference. After 3 hours of piecing together a QR code and not being half done, I quit trying and had to put together the other part of the cake. I hated that it did not scan, but they needed cake to eat! My husband said it was a hit anyway and people kept trying to scan it! Also i made the ED CAMP cake in 2 pieces so that my husband could carry it in easily. last year's cake we had to move on a piece of plywood and it barely fit through the doorways.

25 Anniversary Cake
6", 8", 12" x 3" deep french vanilla cake with butter cream icing, my first gumpaste roses, and white chocolate around the bottom layer. This was for my aunt's 25th wedding anniversary. When I do a free cake, I like to experiment so the chocolate and roses were my experiment, but I liked all of it and I think it was so much prettier in person than in pictures.
