50Th Birthday Cake
Wheel of Time Birthday cake. It's been a little over a year since I've had the privilege of baking and decorating a cake for somebody. I'm a little rusty, but it was fun to be able to do it again. This is a chocolate cake with a cream cheese buttercream icing. My loving husband made the arrow.

Pint Of Guiness Grooms Cake
My brother asked for a groom's cake that looked like a pint of Guiness because he has been to Ireland several times and fell in love with the Guiness. This is what I came up with. It is chocolate fondant with ivory buttercream for the froth. We surrounded it with tri-colored grapes and chocolate covered strawberries

Snowflakes, Beads And Ribbon Wedding Cake
The bride asked for snowflakes and ribbon so I made the snowflakes out of fondant using some snowflake molds. You can't tell in the picture, but I dusted the snowflakes with a violet pearl and rainbow sparkle dust mixture. To add a snowing effect I dusted some pearls with the same mixture and placed them sporadically throughout the snowflakes. Two things I learned making this cake. One: snowflakes are tedious and Two: I love rainbow sparkle dust:)

Chess Board Groom's Cake
This cake 12 inch square cake has chocolate butter cream icing and the chess board is chocolate and white petinice fondant. I was going to make the chess pieces with a chocolate mold, but that didn't turn out so good:) I liked how it turned out and the bride really liked it too.

Eastern Star Ceremony Cake
My Mother-in-law is involved in Eastern Star and asked if I could make a cake for one of their ceremonies. Using a technique I learned at an Earlene Moore class I used a cut up spongue to give the buttercream icing a textured look and made the star free handed with fondant and painted on the symbols with food coloring.

Pink Castle Cake
When our children's department at church painted the children's room like a castle I made this cake for our big opening night party. The kids loved it. I couldn't find the right kind of candies to make the stones so I improvised with some bigger candies. It worked out okay and I was pretty pleased with it.

Baby Shower Cake With Royal Icing Daisys And Color Flow Baby
I made this cake for a friend of mine that I work with. It's a 12 inch cake and my first attempt at something of substantial size with color flow. The daisys were a little difficult because my hands got hot working with so much royal icing. They were very pleased.

Ivory Wedding Cake
This was my first attempt at a wedding cake for a friend of mine. It is ivory buttercream. I used edible pearls and did a reverse shell border. I fought with the icing on the top tier because it wouldn't smooth out very well. That really frustrated me, but my friend was very pleased with it, so i guess that is all that counts, right:)?
