my friend's brother is going to USC Dental school so she ordered this 'grill' cake for his college graduation. one of the more unique cakes we've ever done.
this cake was a blast. the only instructions we received were to make this cake 'asian themed, and to include the 'year of the pig', and 'happy first birthday reese'.
this cake was so much fun to make! we did mostly fondant/buttercream but did have some other accents in there like chocolate dipped Oreos for wheels, Twix bars for logs, etc. One of my faves! Thanks for looking!

this was so fun to do! we used parchment paper to make the cupcake liner. the cake is frosted with buttercream frosting, and the sprinkles/candle are/is out of fondant.
this one was a doozy...it turned out though. PHEW!
this cake was a 30th birthday cake given to a husband from his wife. she wanted something that incorporated several different aspects of their life...so we went with his family, his work, and his hobbies. You'll notice the members of his family, his boat, his work projects, etc. They LOVED the cake which is always a relief!
Grooms Cake-- all fondant. The controller we made out of rice crispy treats. My brother has a real Xbox 360-he lent it to us so we could make the cake/controller the exact same size as the real thing. It turned out really well. The groom was so excited!
my friend's favorite holiday is Halloween and she insisted that her baby shower have a halloween theme. this is what i came up with for the cake. all MMF.
we did this cake as a gift to my friend who has twin girls. she let us do whatever we wanted. the theme for the party was butterflies/dragonflies/cattails.

buttercream with fondant accents. it took some time to get Lightening the way he is...my sweet husband spent a good 1.5 hours on him but I think he did an excellent job! the customer really liked it.
this cake was for a baby shower and the mother-to-be hasn't found the sex of the baby out. the customer requested a 'periwinkle'...but not pastel? I was confused by that color choice. But we were able to get a pretty good match for a color that looks girly purple and boyish blue....i hope. fondant with buttercream accents.
this cake was modeled after the school of rock's logo. butter cream and fondant accents. it was fun seeing the 12-year old recipients reaction to it...he loved it.
this is a remake of another cake we did. We've actually had several requests for this one. It's flattering....but it gets kinda old making the same thing over and over. heehee

this cake was for a golf lover who was receiving a puppy for her birthday. My husband helped me with the molding....it was his idea to do the golf hat which is my favorite thing about this cake. Buttercream frosting with fondant accents.
this cake was a quazi-recreation of another cake I had done in the past. the lil' boy, Max, it was for LOVED all the animals. Doesn't that just make it so worth it?
