2 tier cake...bottom tier's vanilla-butter cake with buttercream filling, and top tier's almond cake with strawberry filling. It's iced with buttercream and decorated with buttercream (except for the carriage on top). I'm really pleased with it...it's one of my all time favorites.

My daughter's 2nd grade teacher loves apples, it's the theme for her classroom. So I thought it would be nice to bake a cake that looked like an apple for teacher appreciation week. The cake was vanilla chai cake with vanilla chai buttercream. It's one layer carved cake.

yellow cake covered in chocolate icing...with a fondant ball (I used round tips to achieve the look of a golf ball)...next time, I'll use a little gum paste to stiffen the ball up so that it'll keep it's shape better. Thanks for looking and commenting.
