3D - Baby Bear
This looked a lot cuter in real life - the eyes didn't stare at you like that *lol* It's a scratch chocolate-ginger cake and was a little welcome-home-with-your-newborn-baby-boy. And the parents were thrilled as they had never seen a cake like this before - 3d cakes are not something you see here in Denmark. The mum didn't know if she could cut into it, and the dad wanted to eat it right away *LOL*. I had made two cakes and kept them in the freezer. This was my first try at the mini-bear.

Danish Strawberry Birthday Cake
This is yet another birthday cake, this for my FIL. He loves my traditional danish layered birthday cakes, so this is what I made for him (along with some rhubarb muffins). It's white layers with cooked vanilla creme, crushed macaroons and a load of strawberries. Whipped cream sprinkled with dark chocolate and topped with fresh strawberries (unfortunately not Danish - they'll be another two weeks at least). Didn't turn out quite like I wanted, but as always everybody liked it.

Chocolate And Passion Fruit Mousse
I've wanted to try the Bittersweet chocolate frosting from this site for a while, and decided that my own birthday was just right for this experiment (I'm a chocoholic! LOL). So this is a chocolate layer cake with a passion fruit mousse, covered in Bittersweet chocolate frosting. It was a dense cake (compared to a traditional Danish birthday cake), but my husband looooved it ;-). So the leftovers will definately not go to waste.

Tigger Birthday Cake
This is the cake I made for my brothers 30th birthday yesterday (he's a baker btw). It's another traditional Danish layered cake. White cake with vanillacreme, loads of rashberries, macaroon and passionfruitsirup. It's covered in real whipped cream and Tigger is a FBCT (my second try with this and first with colour - and I'll keep on trying, wanting to find the right texture for the BC). My family loved the cake, and even though it should feed about 12, the six of us ate the whole thing (1½ serving left)

Another Danish Birthday Cake
It's my mum's birthday today, and we're going over. I've meade this cake for her (even though my brother is a baker and she works at his bakery LOL). It's a layered cake (the cake is traditional Danish), with a nougat-whipped cream layer, and a real rashberry layer. The top is icing-sugar with rashberry juice, sprinkled with icing sugar. The sides are whipped cream covered with chopped walnuts. Hopefully it tastes good .....

Calvin And Hobbes
This cake was for my DH's birthday. We both love Calvin and Hobbes, so it was only natural that my first attempt with a FBCT should be this. The cake is a traditional Danish birthday cake (except from the BC), layered with a special creme-filling and blackberries from our own garden. My husband just LOVED it :-)

Birthdaycake No 2
Well, after the disaster cake (which turned out to taste pretty great) I threw this cake together the next morning. It's almost a traditional Danish birthday cake. It's a layered cake with cooked vanilla creme, strawberries and macaroons, chocolate ganache. The icing swirls didn't turn out as I'd hoped but I'll get to work more on that soon. My DH just loved this cake (but then again they love all my cakes :-))

Birthday Disaster
I had promised to make the birthday cake for my MIL, and I had it all planned out and knew what the cake should look like and just how it would taste ..... and I can tell you, it was nothing like this! It was supposed to be at 4-layered cake with 1 layer of whipped chocolate ganache and 2 layers of rashberry mousse. The ganache was SO stiff that I couldn't whip it and the rashberry mousse was runny and I just screamed!! My DH let me make another birthday cake the next day *LOL*
