This was for a surprise birthday party. The man was courting another woman and she was turning 45. He calls her the "catwoman" because she is up late at night like a cat. ??? I don't ask. Yellow cake with chocolate buttercream in layers....Iced in BC and accented with fondant peices. TFL!!

Iron Man

Hand painted fondant plaque. Took 4 hrs to paint it (yuck). The molten iron is spilling out of the fondant pots down through the buildings in the town. Didn't know much about the movie, but tried my best. Let me know your thoughts, b/c the customer didn't seem to like it much. TFL!!!!

Hungry Anaconda

For my nephew's 12th birthday. He wanted a anaconda that was eating him. Fun cake. feet and legs are rice crispies covered in fondant.

First Sunflower Cake!!

First time to try this. It is one of Nicholas Lodges cakes in his book. I LOVED MAKING IT!!!! So fun. It was a big hit. I donated it to one of our local churches to auction off. Over 50 handmade fondant petals around it, rest is buttercream. Cake was pumpkin harvest. TFL!!

For a co-worker. I did it only b/c my 'boys' whopped them the week before, ha ha. It was a fun cake. Plus I got to make a big cheese head for it. Cheese is rice crispy covered in fondant. Buttercream with fondant and royal icing details.

My First Magnolias

Man, putting 25-30 stamens and pistols together is a pain, but I think the end result is worth is. It was my first attempt at making them. I love them. I might put them on all my cakes ha ha. TFL!
