Shabby Chic Ruffle Cake
This tutorial demonstrates how to make a “Shabby Chic” ruffle cake. This version of a ruffle cake has delicate layers of fabric-like fondant spiraling down the cake and peeling away like the petals of a rose. Very sweet and elegant this is a beautiful cake for a vintage style wedding!
Check out my “Fantasy Style” Peony video, to see how I made the flowers on this cake:

Beautiful, I want to made me want to give it a try! Just Beautiful!
Beautiful! I am a novice, but wondering if you are starting with a cake covered in fondant, or icing? Or does it matter?
Thanks for sharing!
gen2026, definitly start with a fondant covered cake. The weight of the ruffles could peel off frosting.
Absolutely Beautiful!! Can't wait for someone to order one of these :0)
Do you think this would work with White modelling chocolate?
