Very pretty - but it looks like she's sticking wires directly into the cake. Isn't that a big no-no since it's not food safe?? Maybe they covered the wires in white chocolate?? Am I missing something?

What did you make your flowers out of because it looks like you push on them and they don't look fragile and breakable?

Were you using a dummy cake?

Pushing wires directly into a dummy cake is acceptable, but into a real cake is a HUGE no-no! For this many flowers on a cake, you could coat the wires in white chocolate before inserting them.

When I was at college for cake decorating .I would have been shot for inserting wired flowers into a cake .CERTAINLY NEVER.

You wrap the wires with floral tape then you can put them in the cake, same concept as putting the wired flowers in a plastic spike.
