This cake was a hit at my 3 year old twins' 3rd birthday party. It's 3 layers with buttercream frosting, candy clay figures, fondant trim with cut-out lettering and gumpaste vines and tree. The cake itself was chocolate for the top two tiers and white cake on the bottom.

This cake was for a guy at work. I also made a blanket that had duckies on it for him. The pan is the Little Suzy's Zoo made by Wilton.

This was from the front of Wiltons latest yearbook. Had trouble getting the candy coated bottom of the cupcakes right and they were too big for the new cupcake holder that I bought from Wilton.

Just thought I'd post a few of my older cakes...this one was done several years ago when I didn't know about transfers, so I drew the design freehand using a toothpick and then filled it in.

I have never been so happy to deliver a cake in my life. This cake was a lot of work. It was my first time doing fondant figures and hand painting on BC(by the way, not a very good idea). It is 9in & 6in double layer confittie cake with BC filling, covered in BC with fondant figures and leaves. I had issues with the garafi and ellephant being top heavy and wanting to fall over, but in the end I think it came out well. Thanks adarabia for your wonderful inspiration, I can never do your work justice.

My first cake for my nephew's 8th birthday party. The party was at the movie theatre to see the new Disney movie "The WILD". Cake is buttercream with Fondant Animals. It was a hit at the party and now everyone wants a cake! This was my first time doing anything with fondant so I practiced with Play-Doh :-)

Heres the WB book Zoo Cake. Scratch chocolate with cookies n cream, scratch butter with raspberry. Buttercream (neon color blending) icing with chocolate accents. This one was so much fun...even though it took me all day (it was short notice), and the kitchen is destroyed, i was sad to say i just couldn't do anymore to it! I'll definately do this one again...Its' actually for a friend of my friends who just became a first time grandma...the nursery is a zoo theme, could be used for lots of things

A zoo half-cake for my daughter's 2nd birthday. I wanted something small enough to take WITH us to the zoo, but I didn't want cupcakes, so I cut an 8" cake in half. Pirouette cookies around the outside, fondant decorations, yellow cake w/chocolate BC frosting. On this cake I learned how much sturdier Wilton fondant is for figures; the panda is the only one made of MMF and he never dried! Next time I'll check out gum-tex.

This cake was 2-8 inch rounds with a 6 inch round on the top. Iced in buttercream with chocolate animals and trees. Sooo much fun to do - inspired by the WBH.

Copied out of Wilton book. Very cute but I found the palm trees to be difficult to make

The invitation for this cake was adorable!! (Shown enlarged in photo) The animals and the writing are done in royal icing. I got it a little too thin for the animals, but not too bad. The rest is BC.

This is my version of one done previously by a very talented decorator-I can't do fondant-I can't sculpt anything!! I made my animals and trees out of candy molds and candy melts (thanks to cakesbaby for the candymold site!)

6" on top of 8". BC covered and bordered. Fondant animals, plaque, and number. Looks more safari, but I think it works for zoo. I copied the animals from adarabia. Love all of her work! Thanks for great idea.

I didn't have a Little Suzy's Zoo cake pan so I just pattern transfered a picture of Witzy from my computer onto my 12x18 sheet cake with piping gel.

I made this for my nephew's first bday. 10-inch & 6-inch rounds iced in buttercream. Decorations are fondant, gumpaste, and buttercream. Waterfall is piping gel over buttercream. HUGE thanks to Kelleykakes: her beautiful jungle cake inspired the waterfall and I copied (tried, anyway) her wonderful fondant elephant, hippo and monkeys. The parrots are gumpaste painted with Americolors.
There was a smash cake too, but I don't have a pic yet.
