This was for my son's third birthday. He is horse, rodeo, cowboy crazy. The invitations had the cowboy on the bucking horse and the catus. My husband drew the catus and bucking horse on xray film and cut it out. I then traced it onto the cake and filled it in with stars. A family effort.

The mom-to-be and her hubby are both veternarians so the host of the shower chose this design for them. This cake was an 8" round and 6" round covered in fondant with big gum paste tropical leaves as well as smaller royal icing leaves and grass. The animals were printed on edible transfer sheets, cut and placed all around each tier. This was a really fun cake to do. Hope ya'll like it.

I made these for my horse club banquet. They are NF with Antonia's icing. The red on the barn isn't as bright as I wanted, but oh well.

These are all the cookies that were placed into a mini hay bail to match the theme. It came out cute. Because the event was outside, it dried out the cookies. I've never had that happen.

A wedding planner asked me to design a cake around these colors for her booth at a bridal show over the weekend. I was not really sure what to do to make it "completely off the wall" as she suggested. This is what I cam up with. It is a dummy completely covered in MMF. Sizes 12, 10, 8, 6 with gumpaste "N" on top painted in luster dust mixed with vodka. I really had a great time making this one after I got going.

Only shot I got of this cake while in progress. Does a good job of showing the wild color scheme used for this 18 year old's party. The order was for white cake with chocolate icing. All decorations are white chocolate colored/dark chocolate fondant with choc. bc underneath :)

Ever since I first saw this cake I wanted to try it. Finally got up the courage. I didn't really do it justice, but it was fun doing. Thanks to Cake Corner for the cake idea. It was vanilla cake with raspberry filling.

This cake is a major achivement for me. I have complete left/right dyslexia so figuring out instructions on how to pipe flowers was hopeless. In the end I took a course so that I could see how it was done. Cake is WBH Freckled Mocha cake brushed with Kaluha and filled with chocolate BC spiked with more Kaluha. Iced in IMBC.

My 3-tier dummy wedding cake from the Wilton Masters Course. I am so pleased to have had the opportunity to learn to pipe flowers. It was a great experience to learn the more traditional style of cake decorating.

I got a last minute call last night about making this cake. The mom wasn't happy with the cake she bought from the bakery so she found me and asked. She let me know what the party theme was and I made the cake to match the decorations. It's a 9x13 chocolate fudge cake with hazelnut creamer (WOW....good chocolate cake). it's iced in BC with mmf lasso, cowboy picture, and chap fringe. I added the fringe on the bottom to make it look more like a cowboy.

This little girl's party was held at the Great Wolf Lodge and the decorations were animal prints, so I was asked to incorporate 'water park' and 'animal print' in a cake to serve 10 people. The pool is cake, the slide is RK treats - all covered with fondant; edible image animal prints.

I actually started out trying to make that cute valentine's cake with the pink monster that says "wild thing" but that was a disaster. So I scraped off all the pink icing and tried to make this from the Childrens' book "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak (the birthday theme was "wild thing").
