A customer asked for this for a one-year-old because that's the only T.V show she seems to like! I tried to make it a little feminine and childish too.

This cake was made for my son's 5th birthday. I used the colors that were in the Hot Wheels plates and decorations. He thought it was pretty cool.

This was a cake for my husbands grandmothers 82 birthday. She loves daisys so I make 65 and placed on cake I was going for 82 but I just could not fit them all. I used staws as the feet and handles. This picture does no justice to how pretty this cake really was. Its all BC with Royal icing for flowers.

Bottom layer is white cake, top layer is strawberry cake. The daisies are gumpaste. The rest is buttercream. The circle cake on top is a wagon wheel which represents ninety years of life. One tenth is iced in brown to represent ten years left to living a full century (100).

This is my first paid cake!!! Woo Hoo!! The mom said the child wanted a "NASCAR Hot Wheels" cake so this is what I did. The track and tires are MMF. Everything else is BC. I used piping gel to transfer the image in the middle. I had never worked w/a piece of MMF that big before, and it stretched some when I moved it. I figure it just gives the asphalt a more authentic The mom is going to put cars on it when she gets it home.

I made this cake for a friends baby shower. The cake is a white cake w/ half bc and half chocolate ganache filling. The other cake is a single layer with regular buttercream. I used crusting bc on the carriage. With more practice, I think it will be a smoother icing than bc. The picture makes the pink icing on the carriage look much lighter than the other cake and the flowers. It wasn't that much of a different, but there was some. Crusting bc must lose it's color as it sits. Comments, suggestions wanted!!

This is my first cake. I made it for my son's 2nd birthday. I got the idea from a user here and had tons of fun making it. I used butter cream icing and black sugar sprinkles for the road. I tried to find smaller cars but had no luck. I ended up using a hot wheels car. As you can see I had a little trouble piping the lines in the road. They didn't want to adhere to the sugar sprinkles.

This is a cake for my nephew's 7th birthday. I made a 10 inch round cake and a half of a sports ball cake pan. I cut off the top of the ball to use for the winners circle. I looked at several photos of race track cakes on CC and came up with my own version!

This cake is for a 40 y-o men. He always said that at 40 he'll be in the "4-wheels club". So his wife asked for a cake that looks like a membership card. I thought it was funny! it's all written in French but I thought you'd like the idea

This was for my son's 5th birthday. I was inspired by a few of the tiered race track cakes I saw in the gallery. I would have liked to use different sized cakes but I just wanted to use up the cakes I had in the freezer...which is why the track isn't quite wide enough...

This cake is all white, w/BC icining & crushed graham crackers for "dirt". My directions was only Hot Wheels theme no other specifics. Always wanting to do something different, I thought of the idea of a car jumping over a pond of alligators. (The b-day boy loves alligators.) So I placed a plastic bowl in the cake w/colored water and placed 2 plastic alligators in it. I also used plastic Hot Wheels race track. The kids loved the "water" in the cake! Again another HUGE hit at the party!

This dump truck was made in four loaf pans (two cake mixes). The wheels are mini chocolate covered donuts and the dirt is crushed cookies. It started to tilt, and I had to add a wedge under the cake board. Next time I'll level it before frosting. OH, you can't see it; but the license plate in the back says "UR3".

8" chocolate cake iced with buttercream and covered in fondant. Made for a fellow who had a 600 lb tire fall on him and had to call for help, hence the phone in his hand. Apparently he found the cake hilarious and would not let anyone cut into it!
