I free-handed this boot from a 9x13. I used star tip for entire boot with BC for lighter brown and gray and (I admit) store-bought chocolate frosting for darker brown. I put silver bullet candies on the spur for the star.

This is the cake that I had asked for so many suggestions on. Thanks for all of your ideas, The lady ended up bringing me the pieces used on the cake and a blue ribbon that she wanted duplicated to go on it somehow. Since it was the girls 18th b-day then I put the 18 in place of the 1. Hope it doesn't make it look like she came in 18th place. I decided to use the plastic fence that she brought, the pitchfork, and the feeding pail, oh, can't forget the poop pile.Haybales are shredded wheat, horses are cookies

I free-hand cut this cowboy boot out of a 9X13 pan and then placed it on a half a sheet cake. It is painted with pearl luster dust. The boot designs were made using Wilton fondant tools, painted with nu silver and have small silver balls as accents. The cowboy hats around the side are white chocolate made from a candy mold, painted with pearl luster dust.

This was for a couples baby shower. The baby's room will be decorated in a western theme. The customer wanted me to match the colors of the napkins...I will have to say...those were the hardest colors I have ever tried to match!!!!

This was my first attempt with the MMF, would definitely try it again, I love the flexibility of it and although I don't particularly care for marshmallows, it tasted a whole lot better than Wilton's fondant, that stuff is nasty. I was pleased with this, the birthday boy loved it.

This was for a baby who was born a cowboy! It was white cake with strawberry mousse and buttercream icing. The bandana blanket is fondant as well as the jean patches and wrangler tags that say Tristan. Lassos are rope ribbon. Thanks for looking!

Made for a friend of mine for her grandmother's 85th birthday party! My inspiration was the Fiesta cakes done by TripletMom - as you can tell since this is almost an exact close as I could get it! Sombrero, Chiles and Serape are made from fondant

Chocolate and White Almond layers with Coconut Pecan Filling and Chocolate Ganache, iced with Chocolate Buttercream. First time doing a Chocolate transfer, barrel racer curled up abit so had to fill under with icing so it is raised slightly. Details in Chocolate. Got idea from gma1956 but no where near her talent. Birthday gal liked it though, so all is good.

This was made for a family member. His parents are ranchers, and wanted something "westerny". I also made a cookie bouquet featuring hats, boots and horses.

Here is a boot cake that I made today for a 6 yr. olds birthday. I used 2 9x13 pans and carved out the boot. It is chocolate cake with buttercream icing and fondant decorations. I was going to charge $45.00 for it but it slide a little on the ride to town so I charged her $30.00 and the mom paid it. The grandmother wanted to pay only $20.00 for it. I did fix it up when I got to town though Oh well!! First time that I have had this happen.

This was my first fondant cake (used MMF) - I had a lot more trouble with it than I expected! It was very sticky and sretchy and took many, many attempts to get the fondant on the cake. Hopefully next time will be easier. This cake is red velvet with cream cheese icing.

This is my attempt at a classy cowboy cake. It's cream cheese buttercream icing with a royal icing run-in silhouette and white mint chocolate cowboy hats, cowboy boots, and bead border. It was my first time working with chocolate. It was also my first rehearsal dinner cake. The icing cracked when I set it on my turntable to decorate it--never had that happen before--so I took it off and had to decorate it on a TV tray, instead. The bride absolutely loved it, so I'm happy!

This was for a very small and casual western wedding. The 6x10 are white with just BC for filling and Choc with Choc cream filling. The horseshoes are carrot and confetti--no fillings. I don't know if you can see it in the photo, but they are on brown vinyl covered boards and I got some rope to put around the main cake. It is covered with brown and burgandy horseshoes.

First attempt at a boot. My cake would not cooperate so it isn't smooth. I was afraid to touch it much after I loaded the icing on it.

This is a chocolate cake decorated in buttercream icing. It was done for my husband's parents who both work in the horse industry. They live out of town so we didn't see them on Mother's Day or Father's Day, so I thought I'd do a combined cake.

I did this cake for my daughter's teacher. The cake is iced in buttercream with some fondant accents. The stage coach and horse were made out of fondant and dusted with cocoa powder. I used a brush dipped in water to give it some definition and make it look more like wooden slats. The flowers came from my yard. Thanks for looking!

This was a cake that had to implement several different things. I think it looks a little too busy, but it's what the customer wanted. All buttercream.

This was a cake that was a combo of some other cakes I had seen. Brianna, my step-daughter, loves horses and wanted a "cool" cake. The bandana was fun to do! I also dressed up the cake board with frayed denim on the edges.
