I was asked to make a cake for a little boy turning 6, they just said he likes videogames and stuff like that so I did some research and came up with this one, I wanted to make more similar to real one but ran out of time!!, spent quite a while on the control also.

This is my first attempt at a carved/3-D cake. We can't afford to buy a real Xbox, so I made my husband and his friend a cake instead. There are some amazing XBox cakes on this website -- thank you for the inspiration.

The birthday boy loved this Soul Calibur character from a Play Station 2 video game. The Voldo on top is a store-bought plastic model, but the cake is decorated to look like the character's background in the game. Covered in MMF and painted with food colouring paste. The "rug" is outlined with gold dragees.

This is a FBCT, I put the comic book in the picture in case you aren't familiar with Sonic X (so you can tell it's supposed to look like that!). My first attempt at basketweaving, had no idea it was so easy!

I made this for my son's 12th birthday. He was into his gameboy so he loved the cake. I made it to be the color of his. It looked better in person. The light hanging above the cake apparently left a glare on the cake when I took the picture. (This cake was one of my first "decorated cakes" yikes...hopefully I've improved some.LOL)

I made this for my brother's birthday. He loves video games. The cake is a butter cake with buttercream dream icing. The controller, the game, and the name plate were made with candy melts. This was my first time using candy melts and molding figures. I'm fairly pleased with my first attempt.

These are pics of the cake i made for my husband, since after all he loves his PS2 i decided to hook him up with an edible version. Its a chocolate cake through and through. although i was so short of time i was unable to make the controller so i used a quick fix and just grabbed a real one that i added to the cake later.

This is a practice cake. I wanted to try doing a transfer using buttercream frosting. The cake is about 4 inches wide and 3 1/2 inches tall. The cake wasn't completly cool (i wont do that again) so the frosting started to melt but it turned out ok.
What do you think?

This is a double chocolate cake covered in fondant and a buttercream border. The road is also made of fondant wth green sprinkles as grass. I gave up half way while making this cake it was looking awful. At the end the cake turned out ok. There are lots of things I wish I've done different.
Thanks for looking!

This is for my son's 5th birthday. He is a Pacman NUT and will absolutely adore this. There are some things I'm not happy with but overall I think it turned out nicely. The hood part is foam board and I drew the original arcade scene on the sides. The cake is covered in fondant with fondant and royal icing accents. The joystick is fondant and a lollipop stick.

Groom's cake made for a big fan of the 80's, much like myself. This is the first cake I ever made, not counting the "draft to see if I could do it".
- Forgive the small photo, waiting to get the better ones from the photog!
- The controller cords are simply drawn onto the cake board, I couldn't get the right piped consistency with anything I had.
- Controller buttons are marked with the bride's and groom's initials instead of "B" and "A"
- Nintendo logo instead says "Jason", the name of the groom.

Before I knew you could order Satin Ice in colors, I colored 4 pounds chocolate Pettinuce fondant black to cover this scupted 9x13 cake and the the contoller sculpted from an 8" square cake. I had the make patterns from my nephews game. The trimmings are a combo of mini and regulAR M&Ms, fondant and buttercream frosting.

This is a very close copy of a photo found on Flickr, which was taken by someone at a wedding, who credits Robin from Gateaux Inc. as the baker. I was asked to re-created it on a smaller scale. 10 hours later, here it is! I'm pretty pleased with it! All fondant except the blue buttercream on the bottom tier. Plastic Princess and Mario figurines. Fondant and Royal Piranha Plants and turtle shells will be added on-site when it's delivered.

This is a flourless Walnut Cake. I made three batches of my recipe for what started as a 9â€x13†sheet cake, and for layers and filling altogether I used 33 eggs (that's thirty-three eggs), 7.5 cups of powdered sugar, 3 cups of white sugar, 2 cups of cocoa powder, 7.5 cups of finely chopped walnuts, 3 cups of ground almonds, 1.5 cups semolina, 2lb of butter, rind of 2 lemons and 2 cups of rum. Yes! – 2 cups of rum! More about the cake at
