This was my first real experience with fondant and stacked cakes. It was for a couple getting married in Vegas but they had the shower here in town. The sign on top was downloaded and I photoshopped the couples name in and then laminated it. The coins, trees, and dice are all plastic.

These card suits were part of a "casino" collection that included card suits, dice and cards. They were made as a "Have fun in Vegas" gift.

Also part of the casino cookie collection sent to a family as a "have fun in Vegas" gift. I used the no-fail cookie recipe and Anotnia74 (Helen)'s royal icing recipe. Thanks Antonia74!

Made these to go along with my other vegas dice cake. Suits are MMF, dice are sugar cubes. I made the dots on the cubes with "food writers".

This was a cake and cookies for a tournament my husband is going to. It is not my best work by a long shot, my husband had made me reallllly angry while I was decorating it so cncentration was not all there. I wanted to look kinda classy but still very vegasy at the same time. Did that make sense??? So the cookies are the colors of the chips they will be using. The cake is Deep Chocolate Fudge cake with Mocha BC and Espresso dark chocolate candy clay coating.

I made this for a friend who just graduated with a Masters Degree. His wife wanted to include photos from childhood to cuirrent day as well as incorporate the theme (Poker) into the cake. This is what we came up with. Top layer is white cake with strawberry filling and BC icing. Bottom layer is chocolate with strawberry filling and BC. Poker decorations are chocolate made from molds.

I made this for a friend's 60th birthday. He is a huge blackjack player and his family was giving him a trip to Vegas. I made the Welcome to Vegas sign freehand and attached it to a tall skewer.

This is a cake I made for a wedding rehearsal dinner. Their honeymoon was in Vegas, and the bride wanted the cake to be a surprise for her husband. The dice and cards are made of white chocolate, and the poker chip is fondant. This was also my first FBCT.

My first topsy turvy cake!!! I've been dying to make one but couldn't convince anyone to order one, lol! Fondant decorations except the suits (right word?) because I ran out of red but had some red BC left over from the cake before it!

Marshmellow fondant, shiny quarters, 25 years!

Simple cake shape, with a half circle on the top. I washed 10$ in quarters to hold the picture up. The banner, dice, cards, and chips are all made of fondant. It is a marshmellow fondant so it tastes okay too! Simple lettering and a picture top it off!

This was a wedding cake for a couple married in Vegas. They wanted it simple, and wanted to include 4-leaf clovers. I used clover cookie cutters to cut out the fondant, then traced over them with black royal icing. The bottom layer alternated hearts, diamonds, spades and clubs. I used miniature red, black and white dice for the border. The King and Queen of Hearts cards were used in place of a cake topper.

I lifted this idea off this website again!! I loved how the cake turned out! It was so much work, but worth it! The colofrul m&m's made the cake so FUN!! I modified the design of the slot machine to mimic our favorite Vegas machine! Again the black and red were purchased already-made from my local cake store! The slot machine (top layer) was a Wilton shape pan and was yellow. The bottom cake was a rectangle pan and was chocolate cake!

This cake is covered in fondant and decorated with buttercream. The money tray is carboard covered with foil, the coins are chocolate, and the handle is made from fondant painted with black food coloring diluted with a little water. A pain to work with the fondant, I'd make some changes for next time.

This couple got married in vegas and returned to Washington State for their reception. (Which also had the Vegas theme). The cake is 6" 8" 10" squares with butter cream frosting. Eatable images of poker chips and the king and queen of hearts are also on the cake. The border was done with a simple star tip. Silver candy dots were used around each layer.

I was inspired by SO many of these awesome cakes on here (especially Klsrtr's recent design...thank you!)
Done in buttercream with gumpaste playing cards/poker chips. The designs on the cards were done with food colouring pens.
The inscription reads "Happy Birthday Adam! You're a card...actyally, you're 2 cards..." then the Jack & Ace cards below...get it?? hahaha! It was the client's idea, but I liked her sense of humour!

(I did the A on the ace upside down....whoops!!)

This cake was for my DH's b-day. White cake with Creamcheese frosting, covered in Satin Ice Fondant. The Dice gave me such a hard time that I was about to not do them at all. But I ended up being very proud of myself considering it was my first stacked cake and my first cake covered in fondant. A lot of first's huh :) Please excuse the grease on my cakeboard, I forgot to cover it and by the time I remembered it was too late. Thanx CC for all the inspirations, especially TMT.

The lettering is royal icing, painted with gold lusterdust. The signs are gumpaste - the welcome to vegas sign was printed on edible paper and put on gumpaste backing.
