I was asked to do a cake, fairly last minute that had a shark theme. So here it is! I did a 1/4 sheet, and used a 6" square to sculpt the shark. everything is buttercream except for the shells, they are white choclate and dusted with luster dusts. The sand is brown sugar.

I finally got a chance to break out my new airbrush DH got for me for my birthday! I used the wondermold on top and a 10 inch round on the bottom. She is iced in buttercream and I used MMF for all the accents. I was trying to be fancy and write with the airbrush but I think I need more practice - but the airbrush is my new favorite toy!!

I used a 6,7,8 inch instead of the wondermold, and cut holes through the middles and it worked great. All buttercream decorations.

Also another one of my mother's cakes. This one was for her friends grandson's second birthday. She used the baseball mold to make the fish and fondant for the fins. To a two year old this is Nemo, but to any one else its Nemo who needs to go on a diet. He's still cute.

I made this for a little girl who absolutely loves Nemo... i made all the figures shells etc from fondant... i piped seaweed etc with royal icing.. i have an unusual can tin which is like half a fan so i baked this cake in it and then cut off one end to stackon the top to give a scollap type effect being a ocean cake.

I made this to display in my cousins toy and ice cream store. All the decorations are inspired by the decorations in the store. I'm hoping to get some buisness having it on display there.

Cake for family member. Not how I wanted it to turn out. I wanted the SB face to stand up but of course that only lasted for about 15 minutes so I just laid it flat. At least this forced me to put the message on the sides of the cake, something I've always wanted to try but too scared to do. 10" single layer torted and filled and two 8" filled, buttercream icing.

Donated cake (18x24) to feed clean up volunteers. Only thing I would do different is actually mold the fish (at 1am - I didn't have any molds and I wasn't about to try to find any!) It was a hit and I actually received several orders from it!

Mom wanted an underwater scene with some chocolate icing, so I decided to put in a big black (chocolate) whale. It's the only thing I think of that was either black or brown underwater!! Anyway--she loved it!

This has become one of the most popular cakes in the store. It's so fast and easy so it's one of my favorites to do. All buttercream I got the idea from a wilton book.

This Shamu theme cake is buttercream iced with royal icing waves and underwater kelp with flowers. The cake was airbrushed and glistened with blue and clear edible glitter.
The kids seemed to love the "crunch" of the waves as they ate the cake.

6" and 10" round with buttercream frosting and details. Came out pretty nice except the party was at the beach and there was no shade for the cake!

Here is the Mermaid cake I have been working on for the last couple weeks. This is the cake I made for my DD's 3rd Bday. The top layer is White Chocolate Raspberry cake and the middle layer is Southern Butter Pecan. Both made with creamers. The bottom layer was just a dummy to give height. I want to thank dods and gourmettiger for help with Ariel, xinue for the idea on the divider, and any other person that had a mermaid cake in the forum. I used many as inspirations for this cake.

I've been dying to make an 'underwater' themed cake. When I saw that one of our neighbors had just had a baby, then found the little frog and fishy teethers, I knew I finally had the perfect opportunity! The 'sand' is crushed vanilla wafers, the rest is all buttercream (except for the teethers, of course).
