The idea is from an old Wilton yearbook. Made with the 3-D cruiser pan, with a 11x14 base, with mini wonder pan hills. My godson picked it out for his rolerskating party, and he was happy!

Did this for a 32 year old truck driver birthday. His girlfriend wanted to add something really special for him. I finally found this eighteen wheeler truck to match the color of his truck.

This is the same cake I also uploaded to the "Truck" category, but this is a different view (other side). I made a kit of this cake to give to my
Course 2 students (I teach the Wilton Method of cake decorating). The store I teach in sells my kits too. This takes a bit of effort with all the royal icing parts and color flow parts and to build the special raised base, but the results are worth the effort!

I made this cake for our ground breaking celebration for our new church. It was yellow poppy seed with a b/c frosting. I used crushed Oreo's and Nilla wafers for the "gravel" and trucks that were from a McDonald's Happy Meal. I made the sign on my computer and laminated it and glued it to two popsickle sticks.

I baked this cake for a friend's son's 10th birthday. This cake was also my 1st attempt on cut-out cake. Iced in buttercream, logs were chocolate fingers, wheels were chocolate chips cookies and M&M chocolates for the lights.

Almost ended up as a 'DUMP' cake, notice how the icing melted down everywhere? 105 degree heat and I FORGOT to turn on my REAR air in my Durango...after all that work! Fortunately, they loved it anyway and didn't notice the problems with it, they thought it was great.

This was made for a friend's son's 1st birthday. The gifts are nestled around mini-M&Ms. The cake is alternating layers of white and chocolate, with BC icing. Entire truck covered in fondant, wheels/gifts/lights etc. are all fondant.

Here finally is my first ever truck cake. Thanks to EVERYONE here on CC who helped me with it including those who didn't know they helped. It was a big hit. I learned a lot with this cake and learned how to do better next time I make a truck.

I used my son's firetruck as my pattern. The hoses (there is one on the other side) and ladders were made out of Royal Icing. The wheels are chocolate doughnuts

This was a version of the Wilton 2004 Yearbook's monster truck cake. I tried to make the truck resemble "the gravedigger" truck.

This was my first attempt at a half sheet cake. Boy, it is a lot harder to do than a little 8 inch round! The BCT is MUCK from Bob the Builder requested in yellow. The cake in party confetti with BC fill. TFL

my nephew loves construction vehicles, so I was asked to do a birthday cake with a dumptruck. Dumptruck is two loaf pans, butter cream frosting and covered with fondant. Crushed oreo cookies in the back for dirt.

3-D pick-up truck made from a chocolate 12X18 chocolate cake, iced with the Dream Whip buttercream recipe. Many thanks to cakemommy as her 3-d truck cake was the major inspiration for this one.

For my son's 2nd bday. Not happy w/this at all. I wasn't able to start on this until this morning at 11am....the party was at 2...and we had to leave by 1:15 to get there on time. Luckily I had bake the cake and made the bow loops last weekend!!!! But as you can see I didn't make enough loops for the bow.....so it looks awful!! Plus I tried a new recipe (orange dreamsicle cake) and didn't like it very much!!!

Three layer chocolate cake with BC frosting. It was for a litttle boy's 1st birthday. The parents wanted a cake to look just like his fire truck he pushes around.

My first sculpted cake, and my first fondant experience! This is for a 3 year old's birthday party. Cupcake wheels, royal icing windows (ran out of white fondant), and M&M's in the rear. A LOT of fun!!

This is a chocolate cake with buttercream icing. I donated a coupon for a cake at a silent auction at my son's school in the spring. This was the cake I was asked to make by the winner of the auction for her son's birthday.

Half chocolate, half white 1/4 sh. cake for a co-worker that my husband works with. I did an edible image, but the other co-workers wanted a red background and the color bled through into the pic of the tow truck some over night. The border is suppose to be chains and hooks (top border) and the little signs are just small BCT.

I just made this last night for my son's 2nd birthday. I don't really like the proportions, but now that I've done it once I know what I would change. It probably would look better in fondant too but I just didn't have the extra time.

This was a 24 cupcake cake made to resemble a monster truck. It is buttercream with buttercream filled cupcakes and a little royal icing too. The truck was a buttercream transfer. I did the wheels separate from the body and then added the details after it was on the cake. The silver is actually royal icing, it kinda left it with a shiny metalic sheen. I had the worst time making the red for the truck. I made the icing over 24 hrs ahead of time and it just wouldn't darken. I added maroon, a touch of black but still didn't get what I wanted. Oh well hopefully won't have that problem next time since I just ordered some americolor super red & others, can't wait to try that stuff!!

A labor of love for my 3yo little girl. For her special cake she requested a "red truck cake". Her party theme was safari/zoo animals. This is what I came up with. She was thrilled.

This was made for a friend that another friend had played a practical joke on - hanging these on his truck. This friend had requested that I make him a hot milk cake ~ which I did ~ he didn't specify what to decorate it with. I used a chocolate transfer and whipped icing with chocolate rocks. It was a hit!
