My soon-to-be SIL and I made this cake for my brother's and her's Engagement Party. Cake is Chocolate with Chocolate filling and White with Strawberry filling. MMF decorations and gumpaste bow and tag. The "diamond" is a crystal paperweight. Ring claws and band also made of MMF and painted with superpearl dust. Tag reads "Marina, Marry Me? (heart) Ivan". We had a lot of fun making this. Thanks to this website and your tips, it was a big hit!

This is a coconut cream pie cake covered on Tiffany Blue fondant. Top was made with half ball pan over a 6". Base was an 8" dummy. Think I used the petunia cutter for the blossoms and rolled out fondant stems...Dusted with Super Pearl dust...

This is a dummy cake for a show we will be in this weekend. I used the Wilton fondant, and it always looks bad on styrofoam. (I can see every last wave and dimple!) Good thing I won't put it on a regular cake. Anyway, we created a stencil for the lettering and I painted it on the tag.

I made this cake for my cousin's 23rd birthday! I think the house is a little too warm b/c the fondant will not work with me today!

This was the first one I made. (one of the ribbons broke when I was putting it on the cake) It was for a lady who loves Tiffany, and she was thrilled with it. I have since gotten better (I got 3 orders for more of the same after folks saw this one!) This is also my first MMF bow. The color was actually blue, not sure why it looks green.

I wanted to make a Tiffany Box cuz I love the color and this was my first attempt to make a fondant bow... not bad, but I know what to do next time to make it turn better.

I know, I know these Tiffany cakes seemed to be overdone on Cake Central, but not in my world and the Birthday Girl is raving to eveyone as I write this blurb. This is my 3rd fondant practice cake. It is my Grandma's lemon cake recipe. The color was achieved by equal amounts of Americolor Teal and Sky Blue. Your critique very welcome! (Critique: assessment of something, usually a creative work, with comments on its good and bad qualities.) Thanks super big bunches.

This is a cake I did for Course III instead of the square box cake in the book (I don't have square pans yet!). I have admired the Tiffany box cakes I've seen on here and wanted to do one similar because I love the color.

Still practicing with MMF. This is an 8" 2 layer cake. I've used MMF to cover cake and board. My fondant did not go on smooth all the way around so I made the twisted MMF to go around the cake. The flowers were done with brush embroidery..my first time. My husband thinks the cake looks like a hat..this was not intentional! :)

This was a last minute request from a friend for a double Christening of two cousins. The mothers were having a "Tiffany blue" and mauve theme, so I tried to incorporate that into the design. Bottom tier chocolate mud, top tier, white chocolate mud, covered in fondX. Bows, plaque and bears made with gumpaste and the bows were dusted in super pearl lustre. Unfortunately, I took this photo before I put the mauve ribbon around the board, and didn't take another until after it was cut!

I just received and order for a 21st birthday. The birthday girl wants Tiffany boxes, so I thought I should have a practice run first. This is a 4" square covered in fondant which I coloured with equal amount of teal green and capri blue, the lid is also cake and the bows and tissue are made out of fondant mixed with cellogen.

I was happy to have the opportunity to make this... its a big one, a total of four ten inch layers, each on its own board for ease of serving. I wish I was better at smoothing fondant and making perfect corners, so if anyone has any tips or critiques I would love a PM with some helpful techniques! I was happy about how my logo turned out though, using wax paper and food marker.

This cake was a challenge! Thanks to CakeMommy, Golfgirl, Snicker, Angelas2babies, and everyone who posted on "Please help fix my cake!". I put a yellow garland on this cake which looked horrible. CC members suggested brown and showed pics of their own beautiful cakes for inspiration. I couldn't get a brown, so went with black, and love the way it turned out (except for the yellow frosting left on it). Thanks guys!

My daughter turned 15 and asked me to make her a very colorful cake with butterflies. I had never done anything like this before. I have baked cakes, but never one that looked this nice.

This was a practice cake that I brought to a party and became an impromptu birthday cake. French vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream covered in MMF with BC brush embroidery. This was a practice cake in every sense-I need a lot of practice covering a cake, perhaps less BC underneath next time. I was going for Tiffany blue for the color.

Tiffany blue roses (Made with Crisco Butter Flavored icing and two drops Americolor Electric Blue) on chocolate real butter buttercream cake. The inside is less than classy- Rainbow Party Chip!

This 8 inch cake is for my dog sitter. Hopefully if she has cake she will stay with the dog a little longer! I just wanted to practice my roses and had nobody to give a cake to. I hope she likes it!

The color is a little off in this photo, but it shows the top of the cake with all the roses. Some are better than others! I feel like something should be in the center there. I got the idea from another cake on this site that I can't find now.

This cake really should be titled the LIDLESS Tiffany Box! Was playing around at work, cut a 1/4 sheet into 2 squares (had to trim a bit off) and made a box. Too bad I didn't realize until I was home with photo that I forgot the lid! Oh well. Everything is BC, the ribbon and bow were made with the large cake icer tip and smoothed with cornstarched fingers. I'm very pleased with the way it came out, although next time, I'll do it at home with MMF.

This was made for a young lady turning 21, with very expensive taste!
A 12 inch caramel mud cake with an 8 inch dark chocolate mud cake on top, both covered in FondX. The bow and ribbons are made with gumpaste and dusted with super pearl lustre. The logo was drawn freehand with a non toxic black marker pen.

I refer to this as "The PMS mess". I woke up craving cake and decided it would be the day that i first cover and entire cake in fondant. Not too great. Just a practice cake. I was rushing through it cause I wanted a piece!

Wow! This was a feat. It's what I envisioned, just not nearly the quality I hoped for! I'm giving up on fondant for a while. This is 5 layers of yellow cake with Whip Cream frosting, covered in fondant. My first fondant bow - that's my fave part of the cake! Couldn't figure out how to get the fondant to cover the corners smoothly, the fondant started breaking and wouldn't stop. Ended up cutting the sides like a mider-cut. There's seams at the corners, but oh well! It's for a co-worker's 30th birthd

3 Tiffany Boxes, all white cake, strawberry filling, french vanilla buttercream and fondant. With the exception of the words themselves, all edible. Constructive criticism is appreciated as it was my first set of boxes. Thanks

My neice loves the Tiffany blue color. So I iced the cake smooth with icing colored with teal to achieve the Tiffany blue color. For contrast, I decorated the rest of the cake using buttercream to make the cornelli lace.

Her mom bought some of the Tiffany blue and white colored M&M's to set out with the cake.....they were a perfect match. Couldn't have matched the color better if I would have had the M&M's with me the day I made it.
