This was a two person cake; I helped my friend make this cake for her daughter's 7th birthday. The party was Bratz themed, but we stayed away from putting Bratz on teh cake, we just used the color scheme from teh plates and napkins etc. Then to tie it into the dolls we had purses and lips on the cake.

This was my very first commission AND my very first time to work with fondant!! For the middle cake I ran into a problem trying to get the fondant to go on smoothly down the sides. I ended up gathering it in the front, hence the flowers to cover my mistake. Someone tell me how to do the fondant right, please! I painted the leaves and pansies with super luster dust. The flowers are royal icing, the leaves buttercream. The top cake was supposed to be quilted. The lines were really faint, though. Help!

This is another masterpiece by my mother. A three tiered butter-cream beauty with hundreds of handmade pale peach stephanotis flowers. Then finished off with the light sage green drop strings, fountain, and fresh florals underneath.

Tried a design out of the Wilton 1987 yearbook, all chocolate cake and bc icing. I totally hated it after I was done, but it looked beautiful in the yearbook. I'm glad it is only a donation cake for a lady at work who recently got married and we are giving her a little wedding party at work

Chocolate cars - yum! The little birthday boy loved it so much that he started "driving" the chocolate cars around on the cake. :-)

this was my first "Wedding" type cake and first three tiered cake. That was a lot of work!! It was also a very slow and stressfull drive while holding the cake. My friend and I were laughing our heads off over every bump. (stressfull laugh) Also first attempt at roses. There were only a select few that could be used. The 25 is a BCFT.

This was a cake made by a coworker and myself. I baked all the cakes and she came over to help decorate. She taught me the great tip of the VIVA papertowels and used a ruller rolled with papertowels for the lines on the cake. She also had rolled up fondant balls rolled in silver. What a great touch. We both made roses. She gave me a great recipe for roses.

wilton's party n' more stand! Smallest one with a pillow holding the number 3. Both are molded from rice crispy treats and covered in fondant. The 3 has gold luster on it. The middle one has a 2 tier blue airbrushed cake with "cloud" border and fondant butterflies. The largest one is cupcakes with "grass" buttercream and chocolate molded flowers growing

This is my Wilton Course 3 Final. We were supposed to make a white cake with beautiful roses, but I just couldn't get the hang of the fondant rose. I made this cake from the course 3 book instead and was very happy with it! It took me FOREVER. I believe I put about 12 hours into this one.
The top cake was chocolate cake from the Cake Doctor, filled with whipped chocolate ganche and frosted with chocolate buttercream. The bottome cake was a butter cake from the Cake Doctor filled with rasberry.

I have to thank many if the CCer's for the ideas, photos and instructions. The cake was a 10 x 10 and 6" round Cookies n' Cream and French Vanilla.

Everyone loved the cake and my goddaughter was excited because it was green, her favorite color.

This is a cake I made for my Grandmother's 75th birthday. She loves pink! The flowers are a candle ring and swag so she could take them home with her as keepsakes. This is my second 3-layer cake.

This cake is my first wedding/anniversary cake. The couple I made it for was celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary but never had a wedding cake so their daughter asked me to create a wedding cake for them. The only specification she had was that the cake was supported by glass champagne glasses like hers was. It was a little bit of a challenge because the cake I was modeling after did not have a cake plate showing and they did not want a cake plate under the fondant.

This was my final cake for Wilton Course III! It was getting close to Christmas, so I tried to be festive. I was way too busy after the Turkey Day weekend, so I used foam cake layers and just concentrated on the decorating part.

This is the last in a series of three cakes for a church birthday party. It is a FBCT of the three wise men. I love this cake! I about went blind with the detail but the outcome made it worth it! 11x15

This is a chocolate cake made in two ring tins and then cut to shape and covered in buttercream. The lillypads are made from modelling paste, the frogs are white freddo frogs and the lilly is, non edible, a hair clip to keep as a keepsake. This idea came from the Aust. Womens Weekly Childrens Cakes book.

I found this design on the wilton website and decided to try it for my first 3D cake. I used the wondermold pan for his body and mini sports ball for his head and the sun. His tail is marshmellows and his spikes are white chocolate that I colored orange before I knew that you cannot use icing colors for chocolate!

A take off of the five tier featured in Martha Stewart. Light green fondant ( sprinkled with sugar) is on the tops of the cakes while textured white fondant is on the sides. Gum paste daisies and yellow satin ribbon complete the spring design.
