Wedge shaped white cake with apple filling iced in BC. Notebook made of fondant with tylose and notebook paper is rice paper. I kicked the teacher out of her classroom for about 10 minutes and had the kids each write something nice or just happy birthday on a piece of rice paper with edible ink. I then "filled" the notebook with these pages. Pages are held together with floral wire. Cake is accented with gum paste flowers.

This was a Thank-You cake for my daughter's school teacher, at the end of the school year. Black Icing is Cooked Chocolate Icing, Chalk and Duster is homemade fondant, and the rest is buttercream. The cake is a 2 tier Devil's Food Cake made from scratch.
Unfortunately, we have been having torrential rains and flooding here, and the weather is really humid. Hence ... cracks in the black icing which refused to set hard.
My daughter was really happy with it.

Flat cake specifically requested for a good bye party for a teacher. Covered in MMF with gel icing for lights and royal icing windows. All painting done with food colouring. The kids on the cake are students from the class - they went nuts when they saw themselves!

It's teacher appreciation week at my son's school and today's theme was "Hugs and Kisses." We were asked to bring in Hershey Kisses for them, but I thought they might like something different. So I came up with the idea for the heart and lips (made using a football cookie cutter!) and wrote a little poem that almost, but not quite, rhymes for the note to tie to the bag. They were a hit! No fail sugar cookies with Antonio74's Royal Icing.

I can't believe I didn't take more pictures of these cupcakes. They were made into the shape of a heart to make an apple. On top those are fig newtons made to look like books. I pipped the word math on them. The class loved them for teacher appreciation week.

Here is a cake I created to thank my son's preschool teachers for their hard work this year. Each leaf has the name of a child from the class. I had a hard time attaching the flowers to the sticks (I used watered down mmf). Next time, I think I'll try Royal Icing and see if they will stick better with it. bc icing with mmf gloves, flowers and seeds packet.

I was asked by the other parents to make a cake for a lunch to honor our children's kindergarten teacher. I used the chalkboard theme and put all 22 kids' names around the edge. This was a huge cake...1/2 yellow, 1/2 chocolate with buttercream icing.

I made this as a donation to my son's school where three teachers were retiring. It's a full sheet with 8"*10"*2" books stacked on top. Buttercream icing with a few fondant accents. I had 2 orders for the weekend before I could even set the cake down!! They loved it and gave out lots of business cards for me.

This is for a teacher's retirement. Our school colors are green and white. I added the pink so that I could do roses. Everything is done in buttercream.
I used a new ruffle tip on top and on the bottom border.

Made for preschool teacher retirement. White and chocolate cake with BC frosting and chocolate transfers. I couldn't figure out how I was going to get the writing to go on straight and decided to do it as a chocolate transfer...I think it turned out pretty well. I am not thrilled with the cake..wish I'd left the roses off, but hopefully it'll be enjoyed by the teachers. Thanks to those on the site..I got the saying from someone else's cake.

I LOVE cookie bouquets & mine are super yummy. All butter & I use royal icing made with lemon juice & a bit of corn syrup so it is shiny. I didn't take much time to make these super cute, but even ugly cookie bouquets are wonderful. Oh, this is a welcome home baby one and the mommy is a teacher, thus the teacher themed coffee mug.
