I made this cake for our church luncheon. It is an applesauce spice cake taken from The Cake Mix Doctor book. Iced with bc and smoothed with viva papertowels, the handel, lid, and spout are fondant that I let dry with toothpicks inserted to hold them in place. The dasies are royal.

Okay--here is the cake that I lost interest in last night and had to do this AM. The pot is from the sports ball pan and the spout , handle and top is a thick sugar cookie--well done. All covered in BC frosting. Didn't realized the sticks showed until I downloaded pic. Oh well, mean Lauren was plesed with it. It was for her Alice in Wonderland Bday party.

I made this cake for my grandmother’s 78th birthday. She always brought out her tea set for fun tea parties when we would visit her so I thought I would honor that great memory with this cake. The cake is a 10” round yellow cake with vanilla pastry cream, fresh strawberries, buttercream and rolled fondant. I hand-made and painted the fondant tea set and covered the round cake board with fondant and painted it. The purple pansies were hand made and then luster dusted as well as the leaves.

This was for a tea party. I originally planned to do a teapot cake....but got several orders that week. I opted for the easier plan of doing an edible image of the invitation. The client was thrilled.

This cake was copied out of a Wilton Yearbook. They no longer sell the original candles but I found some similar ones at a party store. The accents are made from half gumpaste half mmf. The hat and bear are hand molded mmf/gumpaste. Royal icing drop flowers add a border. I had issues with the chairs and table standing up straight. I also think I would have done a quilted table cloth if I could.

I made this for my daughter's 4th birthday, it matched the Tea Party theme available at Birthday Express. The teacup on the top is a plastic one (came in the Birthday Express favor boxes) and I used fresh daisies.

This is a cake my friend Melinda made for her twin girls birthday. I sent her several "ideas" from CC and this is what she came up with. It is a double 8" round frosted covered with a MMF tablecloth. After the MMF was rolled out she laid a doily over it and "colored" in the pattern with an edible ink marker. Then dusted the rest with luster dust. The tea set is plastic from the toy store. Her girls really enjoyed being able to play with it after the cake was finished.

The cake was pictured at an angle so you could see the White Rabbit on the front, but I think you can still see the top picture okay. Everything was done with buttercream, and a lot of it was applied with paintbrushes & toothpicks. Thanks for looking! :D

This is first time making the teapot WITH the cups and table included . The handles and spout were made of fondant a couple days ahead. Edible image for the Cindarella face. I used royal icing & toothpicks for spout/handles. Silver luster dust painted on pot and cups.

Tables are made from standard size cupcakes, covered in fondant. Chairs are mini-cupcakes also covered in fondant with gumpaste backing. Tea pots, cups and desert platter are hand molded with gumpaste. The gate, in the background, is made with royal icing.

This is my first fondant cake. The draping was far from perfect, but I was able to cover a lot of the stretching with the flowers and I was happy with the turnout!
