This was really for a Sweet 16 party but based on a wedding cake design she liked.  All ivory buttercream with fondant bow dusted with gold luster dust.

French Vanilla cake, buttercream and fresh flowers. The rose petals are silk and HUGE...but they look good in the picture...

My first wedding cake!!  16-12-8  16 is triple choc fudge with rasp. buttercream filling.  12/8 are white cake with vanilla filling.  Bride was very happy with this.  Yes the topper is a christmas tree topper, I thought getting it on the long dowel and getting it straight would be the death of me.

All roses are hand sculpted in White Chocolate Clay, homemade fondant (not MMF) Cake is White Chocolate Yellow cake with Lemon Mousse filling and white chocolate BC.

This is a white cake for my soon to be daughter-in-law- brother's wedding.  The bride likes the swiss dots look and she wanted hearts as well as the initial of her soon to be last name.

Calla Lilies are gumpaste w/petal dust accents.  Ivory fondant with royal and buttercream decorations.  12" layer is vanilla w/bavarian cream filling, 10" layer is chocolate w/chocolate filling, 8" is vanilla w/strawberry-cream cheese filling the 6" topper is vanilla w/strawberry-cream cheese filling also.  The bride and groom were thrilled - so was I!

This is the cake I made for my daughters first grade teacher as an end of the year thank you.  I was having major bulging issues, but after 2 hours of trying to fix it i gave up and just decorated it.  My first time doing the embroidery technique.  Definitely need more practice.  Same with the swiss dots.

This is my first tiered cake and my first wedding cake. White cake with Wilton's whipped icing, navy blue satin ribbon with silver beads. The flowers are silk.

This is a three tierd square wedding cake with a dotted swiss design.  The largest cake is white chocolate and the other two are choc chip, chocolate cake.  It is all frosted with french vanilla BC.

This is taken from a Wendy Kromer design.  a dummy cake made for a bridal expo this weekend, 12 inch base, 9 inch middle and 6 inch top, covered in fondant and handpiped black royal icing details. the thin ribbons are attached to the fondant by wetting them and then just placing them on, very easy.

These are all iced in buttercream (6, 10 & 14 rounds) with Siss Dots on the sides and simple borders.  The bride wanted simple (good for me!).  The cake is a golden butter cake with raspberry and white chocolate truffle filling.  Bride's mother made "patches" of flowers and I placed them on the cake for her.  Topper also belonged to bride's mother.

French vanilla with french vanilla buttercream. Decorated with swiss dots, burgandy roses, and burgandy ribbon. I ordered a 10in dummy for the center, but it was huge! I think they sent me a 12in mistakenly, but did not have enough time to shave it down.

This stacked cake is iced smooth with periwinkle colored buttercream (color achieved using Wilton Cornflower Blue and some Violet).  Added larger sized white buttercream swiss dots.  

This was my first and only attempt so far at a fondant bow.  I have some practicing to do.......

This was my first wedding cake for hire, and it was slightly stressful. 3 tiers are white pound with 2 layers of raspberry buttercream and one of lemon curd, and one tier is chocolate with raspberry cream cheese and chocolate ganache. All buttercream frosting. It was 100 degrees today, so I am soooo glad it's done!

A surprise for the bride & groom....for their picnic rehearsal dinner with red & white checkered tablecloths; left the design up to me so I played off the red & white.  Triple chocolate cake and marble layers with black cherry BC filling.  BC with royal icing dots and hearts, fondant ribbon and hearts on wire painted with white pearl dust.  Traveled 2 hours in horrible humidity, so the 'cloud' under the hearts on top fell, and then was assembled by my friend.  They loved it despite minor imperfections!

This is one tier of a wedding cake.  I didnt' get a picture of it all set up because the bride took it to the site which was 45 minutes away, but they stacked this on glass blocks and put lights under it.  There was a 6 in round and a 12 in round and this was an 8 in square

Had leftover icing I wanted to use to I did this cake for my neighbor.  Turned out pretty cute! Need to work on icing heart shaped cakes, though.

MMF over cakes and to create the initial "E".  Lace mold on 2 layers to "duplicate" her gown and simple swiss dots in RI on 2 layers finished base off with a fondant "ribbon".  Brushed the "E" and swiss dot layers in luster dust.  I arranged the flowers to compliment her shade of orange with mini roses and white lilies.  I made this cake for my co worker's sister--they all wanted to know why she asked me to bring a "fake" cake:).  Thank you tbittner &prettycakes (CC) for help with the lace mold--my 1st!

I used the four tier acrylic cake stand.  6" choc., 8" white, 10" white, and 12" choc.  Each cake is a different design.  I painted the "F" with gold luster dust and did swiss dots.  (my first time to use luster dust!! Very exciting!) 8" was the diamond impression mat, 10" was swirls, and the 12" I was running out of ideas so I did vertical lines.  Accented with fresh mums.

This was my very first wedding cake 6 years ago.  Needed some reassurance from the cake mishap I had on Saturday that I posted earlier, so I started looking at all of my old cake pictures and found this one I forgot to post.  This cake is iced smooth with buttercream.  Buttercream swiss dots.  Accented with fresh flowers.

I made this for a friend's wedding. 16,12,and 8 inch size cakes. Fondant bows, swiss dots, free-handed scroll work and reverse shell border. Lots of time went into planning this cake, and I think that it came out great.

6",8",10",12" cake iced in ivory cream cheese buttercream with swiss dots, gumpaste roses(Jem 110mm cutter), hydrangeas(Scott Clark Wooley cutters), and butterflies (cookie cutters with wheat spaghetti for antennas), with hand-rolled fondant pearls.  I dusted the gumpaste work with pearl dust, sparkle dust, and luster dusts.  It was a lot of work, but I just love the way it turned out!

My partner and I used French Vanilla with buttercream icing. The bride wanted swiss dots. The roses are real. We were so nervous, this being our first. The bride saw it, and got teary eyed. Good tears, thankfully :)

The bride wanted a "dotted swiss" pattern and wanted the cake to be all buttercream icing.  White roses and calla lillies were the floral arrangements placed on the cake.  The flavors in the cake were chocolate, white, carrot and strawberry.  This cake was just set up today (the camera date should say 2005!)
