Here is my superman. He doesn't look very happy does he? lol Had to be a little creative. I forgot to reverse the "S". Had to fix after it was on the cake.

Single layer half sheet cake. I don't have a half sheet cake pan yet so I baked two 1/4 sheet cakes, one side yellow and the other side is chocolate. Iced in buttercream with candy melt letters. Superman is a buttercream transfer. Over all I am happy with the BCT but I couldn't get the face right. Maybe next time, LOL!

Oscar, the 5yo birthday boy is having a Super Hero party! The Flash is on the backside of the city. I got the idea from the 2005 Wilton Yearbook and have used it a few times for other themes ~ Batman and King Kong.

This is a half a sheet with buttercream icing and FBCT of Superman. I was in a big hurry with this cake and wasn't very happy with it, especially the border. I did the whole top together and when I smoothed the back of the transfer I moved the picture a little. This was the biggest cake I have done using the FBCT for the entire top of the cake.

I made this for my son's birthday. He is wild about the Justice League. I wish I had known about BCT back then....this might have been a good candidate. Red Velvet cake with cream cheese frosting, piped design from a piping gel the design from his JLA calendar. He was so excited!

The entire top is a FBCT and the buildings and the Ss on the sides are fondant. The woman said she wanted thirteen pieces of fondant on the cake so that each kid could have one to eat. This was the only thing I could come up with. I am really imbarrassed by this cake because of the mistakes I made. I did it at night so by the time I got to the border and writing it was 2 am and I was really tired. The border wasn't as straight as I would liked and my writing is not as very centered. The I realized that....

This was my first attempt at a buttercream transfer. It worked beautifully, except...I can't leave well enough alone. I smudged it a little after I had it on the cake. I can't wait to use this technique more often.

I made this cake today for my husband's birthday. He's an avid comic book collector and superman is his favorite character.

I Photoshopped the birthday boy (my nephew) and his sister's face onto the edible image of the Superfriends - the villians are all around the cake as well.

This is the top tier of my son's 4th birthday cake. It is made with BC with fondant and royal icing accents. My first attempt at making people with fondant. The baby superman is supposed to be my youngest son sleeping. :-)

I made this cake on my son's 5th bday. I was planning on making him a cake the following week with a bigger cake but he really wanted a cake on his bday so I started to make this at 6 p.m. He was very happy. It was cut from a 8" square, buttercream icing, used the wafer paper transfer method for the image.

This cake is a spin off of a bride cake in the 3D section. I used a 6" 8" and 9" pan to make him. In retorspect I would have used a 10" for the bottom I think but I didn't have one at the time. He has a MMF cape and the yellow in the emblem on the cape and on the front are MMF. This was my first try at MMF and it was a real problem for me. It was 90% humidity on the day I was making this cake so that played a big roll in how hard it was to decorate it. For my first time I think it came out great considering

Just a quick cake I threw together for my husband this morning. Thanks to lastingmoments for the awesome inspiration. I found the superman cookie at 7-11. The fondant was being very temperamental for the cape and kept cracking. The blue is buttercream. My hubby loved it. Thanks for looking.

Superman Wilton character pan and Wilton dancing daisies pan. Polly pocket was a BCT. The letters were fondant. Since I put the cakes on a mirror the tree branches from above reflected on the mirror.

This is a cake I did for my 7 & 5 year olds party. The bottom is Yellow cake and the top is lemon, I kept it simple for the kids. The buildings are Chocolate (never store them in the oven and then forget about them...I melted them 4 hours before party and had to redo). the Kryptonite on top is melted jolly ranchers broken up. The S shield is fondant painted and then sprinkled with cake sprinkles. i was pleased with this cake, it turned out amazingly like what I pictured...Rarely does that happen:). Thx

My friend April (ape on CC) helped me with this trio of Superman cakes for a little boy's 2nd birthday party. One was chocolate fudge made in the old Superman pan that has a plastic face and "S" emblem. The other 2 were in the new Superman pan - 1 french vanilla and 1 lemon. We had so much fun working on these together!

I used a sheet cake to freehand the shape of this cake. I could not find a Superman emblem pan. I drew out the design on wax paper, backwards, then used piping gel to transfer the image onto the cake. Iced with buttercream.
