This was for my nephew's 5th bday. I ran out of fondant, which is why there are no building around the back of the cake. I'm sure he'll love it anyway.

This cake is for a little boy that couldn't make up his mind on which Super Hero he wanted. So I put them all on there. All are edible images...the rosettes at the top were for his candles.....thanks for looking

My son wanted Gotham City for his Batman 3rd birthday party. My first attempt at color flow...good thing I stated a week in advanced for the buildings to dry. The buildings were quite labor intensive, not real straight and I had alot of crackng while they dried. It was a big hit though...the kids each took home the buildings, they had enough sugar at the party. This cake was huge, I had 1/2 left over after serving 22, and some had seconds.

This was my first go at Fondant - MMF. I found it easier to use than I thought it would be. The colors did not turn out as deep as I wanted.

My boyfriend and I made this in a dorm kitchen at college the day before the Super Bowl on a whim, so it's not my best work. I used yellow pipe cleaners for the goal posts.

My version of the Spiderman cake from Wilton's 2005 yearbook. I used graham crackers instead of making cookies ~ much easier.

I am finding that coloring MMF with too much color really messes up the consistency of the fondant...anyone know how to color fondant and still keep it really smooth? Anyway...airbrushed the black shoulder but hand painted the face.

Batman/Gotham City cake done, a lady wanted a magazine cover copied. Used the wacky cake recipe for allergic customer (no eggs, milk). Base cake is 11x15 and Batman is cut out of additional 9x13 so its raised up.

Oscar, the 5yo birthday boy is having a Super Hero party! The Flash is on the backside of the city. I got the idea from the 2005 Wilton Yearbook and have used it a few times for other themes ~ Batman and King Kong.

This was my very first commission AND my very first time to work with fondant!! For the middle cake I ran into a problem trying to get the fondant to go on smoothly down the sides. I ended up gathering it in the front, hence the flowers to cover my mistake. Someone tell me how to do the fondant right, please! I painted the leaves and pansies with super luster dust. The flowers are royal icing, the leaves buttercream. The top cake was supposed to be quilted. The lines were really faint, though. Help!

No fail sugar cookie recipe.Alice's Icing recipe.I really like the buttery taste of this icing but it doesn't really harden enough. It keeps the cookie soft also which is great!! I definetly will use this icing again!!

This isn't the most beautiful attempt at a Wonder Woman cake, but my sister was happy with it. I would have used stars on the skin if I could do it over. Originally, the cake pan came with a plastic face. Unfortunately, I didn't have it.

This is a double layer Superman cake made from the super hero pan. I didn't have the plastic lay on pieces so I had to draw my own face and "S" in the center. Not really the best face in the world, but it was for a 4 year old and his mom said as long as he had black hair her son would be happy! LOL :)

I used devil's food cake in the heart pan and strawberry cake for the bust. It was for my best friend's birthday and she is Filipino, so I added cocoa to the fondant for the skin color. I made my own stencil for the "S" out of an image I scanned from my son's storybook.

It is hard to see but on top of this cake you can find Superman, Batman, and Spiderman..they are made from shrink plastic and hot glued to plastic picks. The buildings are made from color flow and the cars are made from jelly slices candies and spice drops. The birthday boy loved it. I found this cake in one of the Wilton's Yearbooks.
