This is a practice cake. I wanted to try doing a transfer using buttercream frosting. The cake is about 4 inches wide and 3 1/2 inches tall. The cake wasn't completly cool (i wont do that again) so the frosting started to melt but it turned out ok.
What do you think?

This is a double chocolate cake covered in fondant and a buttercream border. The road is also made of fondant wth green sprinkles as grass. I gave up half way while making this cake it was looking awful. At the end the cake turned out ok. There are lots of things I wish I've done different.
Thanks for looking!

Along with the reindeer which are accented with Cut Pretzels for the antlers & M&M for the eyes & noses.

Cake shoulders covered with fondant. Wolverine's head is a man's styrofoam head painted with glow in the dark paint and sheet foam cut out for his mask. Wolverine's head glows in the dark through his mask! Claws are carved and painted to look like the knives coming out of his fists. My 8 year old nephew was the envy of the party!

A variation on a previous Power Ranger, different guy I guess. I dunno, I just copy the picture the customer gives me. Their sons know best! LOL. All is cake including the head which is the 3D ball. Of course I had to throw plenty of disco dust on this one. Fun stuff!

This is my second attempt at a tiered cake. It is for my son's 3rd birthday. The 10"
bottom tier is alternating layers of white and chocolate cake with
nutella filling. The 8" tier is strawberry cake with strawberry filling.
The 6" globe is yellow cake with buttercream filling. All layers are
crumb coated in buttercream and covered in fondant w/ Luster Dust. The "S" shield is Color Flow and the ice and Kryptonite are Rock Candy. Thanks to my DH for cutting out continents for me!

This cake was made for my best friend's son. He could not choose which
hero he wanted so I gave him all three. This is one my favorite cakes.
Frosted in BC with jello fondant stars. The kids loved it!

Super Hero cakes give me the fits -- this one is all most what I envisioned -- i didn't take enough time on the building --

The webs are made with Sugar Veil -- piped, dried and then put on the cake.

Spidey is edible image..

I tied doing a web with "Trey" in red in the middle -- but didn't work out this time.

Thrown together last minute for our friends son, everything but the Mario, Donkey Kong, and Yoshi are made out of gumpaste. Cake is from Costco, horrible lop-sided cake, but it looked cute!

This cake is a 10" oval layer over a 13" oval layer. I had so much fun making this and I was so happy at how it turned out that I have been giddy trying to get it uploaded. I know that Mario isn't very popular (there is not even a whole page of Mario pics in the gallery), but the little boy and his parents loved it. Cake is half choc. half white (lining up the layers was fun...yeah, right!). I took pictures as I made this one bc he looked so goofy coming together!!! Thanks for looking!

All buttercream on 11x15 cake. I enlarged a picture of Mario and Luigi, traced the outline on with a toothpick, then free-handed their faces / clothes, etc.

Carved chest covered in fondant and airbrushed. Cape is fondant and the emblem is royal done with the pin prick method. The bride had a strip of photos on the table with it of the groom as a 4yo dressed as superman. They were black and white and the emblems were colored in. Super cute!

This was a great experience for me. I hand rolled each and every
bead, along with dusting them with SUPER pearl dust. I iced each and
every bead on cake too! Lot of work!

The lady that ordered this cake daughter asked her father who was turning 30 what he wanted on his cake. She asked him "Daddy, do you want princesses on your birthday cake?" to which he answered "no, I think I might get batman". His wife heard the conversation and that is why he got batman. I thought the little girl's idea was cute!!

This is for a big fan of one of the New Zealand Rugby Union teams in the Super 14. The Super 14 also has teams from South Africa and Australia. I think this would make a cool grooms cake too.

This is a cake I did for a friend's son. He picked the superman figure out and wanted him to be tearing through the cake. We decided to have Superman breaking through the phone booth.
