my second try on royal icing decorated cookies. a bit better than the first, but i dont know how people do this, it takes so much time. kudos to those of you that can pull it off! i practiced using nilla wafers because baking cookies is like mopping the floor, i hate it! :-) regular royal icing recipe flavored with lemon juice (yum!) using round tip #1, and dusted with dry super pearl dust after they dried.

2-tier cake covered in MMF. Chocolate Transfer super heros on sticks standing in front of the comic "background" for the character. The backgrounds are piped onto the cake with chocolate (wish I could figure out how to put it on smoothly!). The birthday boy is the super hero on the top. There is Spiderman with a web, Wolverine with an X, Superman with a city skyline, Batman with the moon and a gargoyle, Flash Gordon with a lightning bolt, Cyclops in front of red, and The Hulk coming through a wall.

This isn't the most beautiful attempt at a Wonder Woman cake, but my sister was happy with it. I would have used stars on the skin if I could do it over. Originally, the cake pan came with a plastic face. Unfortunately, I didn't have it.

this was made for a coworker who is having her baby via c-section on Super Bowl Sunday. We live in Chicago so of course we are all Bears fans but we also work with quite a few people from Indiana and they are Colts fans so there is a good healthy rivalry going on at the office. The mom to be wanted a Super Bowl Themed baby shower so this is what I came up with. Hope you like it.

I made these cakes for my friend. We all chipped in to get him the only thing that he wanted - a Nintendo DS so I stuck with a Nintendo theme. Had some trouble with the mushroom because the stalk I made out of cake couldn't support the weight of the top so after the bottom cake was crushed to death I replaced it with a plastic tupperware container. The star and goomba are also small cakes.

This cake is for a Superbowl/birthday party today for some diehard Bears fans. It is 3D sculpted. All cake and BC, then airbrushed to match the logo. This cake was a blast to do, I can't wait for the Bears to win so I can do it again! ;)

I made this for a superbowl party, and it was a huge sucess! I got the idea from the last ACD magazine, and just changed it up a bit. The helmets are covered in fondant, and the guards were made from pastillage. I used the basket ball pans to acheive the round tops on the helmets.

The bow and the curly cues are wilton fondant painted with super pearl dust. Round tip 12 for the border. My friend got this for her boyfriend's daughter's birthday. She absolutely LOVES it!!

This was for our Super bowl party 2007. One side of the cake was the Chicago the other was for the Colts. It was in the center of the table on a lazy Susan. The guest would turn the cake to which ever team that they wanted to win when they came to the table. Lots of fun!
