This is a cake I did for a friend's son. He picked the superman figure out and wanted him to be tearing through the cake. We decided to have Superman breaking through the phone booth.

This was made for a 10 year old who was having a Wii tournament for nis birthday party. Idea for the figures was from a pic in the gallery by CC member Bumblebee, thank you! This was my first attempt at figures. The cake itself was based off of a picture of the Nintendo Wii that I found in a sales flyer. I'm not happy with all of the air bubbles but, overall I was pretty pleased. The birthday boy and his mom were thrilled with it - even said she'd be calling me in December for her dd's birthday! :-)

I made this for my 3 year old's birthday party. Supergirl was the party theme. 2 chocolate, 1 golden and 1 strawberry cakes covered in buttercream frosting and fondant. "S" shields, roses, happy birthday plaque and hearts made of gumpaste are decorated with royal icing, attached with royal icing. Wilton's lavender Color mist used on portions of the small "S" shields. This is my first attempt at fondant and my first picture entry onto this site.

White cake with buttercream icing. Baked an 11"x15" cake and cut it down to make logo. This was the first cake I used liquid coffee creamer in and it turned out great! Birthday girl loved the colors and family loved the flavor of the cake!

My 1st try at a Mario cake! It was for a 9th birthday. I think that it turned out good, but needs a little refining. Next time I think that I will cover it in fondant. The little boy loved the cake and is still talking about it! :)

My granddaughter, Sophia (4 years), asked for a football cake for a reunion with her uncles and grandfather. I thought it was appropriate for this weekend's "mini super bowl" with the Patriots and the Colts. Thanks to your site, I had lots of inspiration! This is a rolled BC covering over a crumbcoat. For the football, I kneaded powdered cocoa into the rolled BC. The flowers are not completed because that will be Sophia's job when she gets here!

This is a cake I did for the super bowl. The icing is buttercream (colored sky blue) and the grass is coconut with green food coloring mixed up in a bag. The pan is the "First and Ten" football. The tips are 17,5, and 22.

12 x 18 strawberry sheet cake with cream cheese icing. I really did not think the frozen transfer would work with cream cheese icing after reading comments on CC but I thought I'd at least give it a try. I am so glad I did. I used "edencakes" crusting cream cheese icing in the CC recipes. I added about 2 T. powdered sugar per 1/2 cup of icing to stiffen it for the colors I used in the transfer and borders.
