Strawberry cake I did for friend's little girl who is turning one. She is having a Strawberry Shortcake theme and wanted the little one's "first cake" to be a strawberry.

Single layer bride's white cake, iced with a mix of cali4dawn's buttercream recipe and white chocolate buttercream frosting. My son helped with the pouring of ingredients into the mixer on this one, so becuz of this he calls it his cake. I can't wait to see how he will react when he sees how it was decorated. First time ever making strawberry tuxedos. The writing is made out of melted chocolate- cut the tip of the disposable bag too big so the writing is not as clean as I would like it 2 be, but it works

This is a birthday cake for my little's girl's best friend next door to us. She is turning 3. She loves Strawberry Shortcake. I made her a special cake made without eggs but with applesauce as a substitute since she is allergic to eggs. I couldn't really tell a difference between the two. The outside is covered in buttercream and fondant and the cake is a strawberry. Also on top is my first attempt at frozen buttercream transfer. I love doing it!!!

This was my very first attempt at cake decorating, didn't do too bad! It was a stawberry cake with a whipped fresh strawberry filling, and of course candy melts!

This cake was done in March of '05. This is why I decided to start taking classes. I opened up my big mouth and told my best friend that I would take care of the Groom's cake for her wedding. I had no clue how to decorate cakes, just opened my mouth before I realized it! It turned out so pretty that I had to learn more and see where it will take me. So far, since this cake, I've only made maybe 6 cakes (that includes the Course I Beginner's final class cake and the Course II final cake).

My futur brother-in-law asked me to make a cake to look like the Death Star from Star Wars for his grooms cake. This is my first practice attempt at making this cake. Using the Sports Ball cake pan for the shape, I made a chocolate strawberry cake and flavored the icing strawberry as well.

This was for a co-workers 4 yo birthday. The botttom cake is strawberry flavored. The green is pound cake and the character pan is chocolate. Neopolitan. It is a combo of 2 Strawberry Shortcake cakes from Wilton's 2005 and 2006 yearbooks. Lots of fun.

This is a better picture of the Strawberry Shortcake where you can see the whole cake. This was a lot of fun. A LOT of work, but rewarding to see a 4 yo so happy!!

I have to say thanks to Tripletmom for the inspiration. This is for my own mom's 47th birthday. It's a 9x13 chocolate cake cut and stacked with mocha bc, royal icing flowers and strawberries. This was my first time doing a basketweave and rope border, so it was a little nerve racking! Thanks for looking!

This was strawberry cake with strawberry buttercream (very slightly flavored with Lorann oil.) It was for a friend's mildly autistic co-worker who had her heart set on strawberry cake, so that's what she got!!!

Bottom is a simple Vanilla Dough, covered with cooked german vanilla pudding and fresh strawberries. I poured "tortenguss" over the strawberries and decorated it with fresh whipped cream. "Tortenguss" is from Germany and especially to cover fruits on cakes. It is unsweetend and has a very light fruit can add sugar to make it as sweet as you want to. It will have the texture of Jello-o. It comes in "red" and "clear"

Made for the AF Ball fundraising auction. One layer of strawberry cake with strawberries, bananas and banana cream, then a layer of pineapple cake with pineapple, bananas and banana cream, then a layer of chocolate cake covered with bananas, then frosted with banana cream, drizzled with chocolate and then garnished. MMMM.

Unfortunatley, this cake was done before I knew about Buttercream Transfers! Done all by hand - tracing the pic in gel, transferring onto cake, then filling in with stars! ugh! So much work for the end result. I'm glad I've since learned new tricks! :o)

I guess I should have made the strips of MMF thinner, so that they didn't show through the white MMF on top. Other than that I was pleased with how this turned out.

This is for my daughters 5th birthday.. She loves strawberry shortcake. Used the Wilton petal pan. The cake is a lemon butter sponge with bc frosting stars and of course the ever faithful edible image. Sides did not come out the way I planned but we learn from our mistakes

Here is my four year old's cake. I've had this Strawberry Shortcake pan for a while now and she has been begging me to make it for her. I was not very happy with how the eyes turned out, but it was very late when I finished. I used the colors of this cake to make my oldest cake...kind of making it look like she painted it. My baby loved it.
