I wanted to use up the rest of my royal icing so I made some cookies. I got the inspiration from some cookies posted here. I really need to work on Santa's face. Will be making more Santa's for our church bake sale in December.

This is my first entry into a contest, so I hope it is received well. Made for a family Holiday party. Top layer white cake w/ apricot filling, bottom layer white cake w/ strawberry filling, MMF cover and snowmen, BC snowflakes. MA had just been hit w/ the first major snowfall of the season the night before this party, so i changed the cake theme & decorated till 2:30 am.

I'm sitting on my couch enjoying tv last night when my daughter decides to let me know that she had volunteered me to make 24 cupcakes for her class party. She did survive!!!! This is what I came up with at the last minute. I used piping gel for the mouth, eyes and hat. I really liked how the black took to it. The cupcake is Swiss Chocolate with chocolate buttercream icing. The poinsettias are royal icing.

I haven't decorated cookies with royal icing in a long time, but I think they turned out okay. First time trying the chocolate cookie recipe from www.kitchengifts.com and Royal Icing for Decorated Cookies! Gotta say, love them both :)

This is a photo of a few cupcakes that I made for a holiday potluck. I am new to cake and cookie decorating but enjoy looking and getting inspiration from all of your photos. I used royal icing to make the snowflakes and let them dry for a few days before placing on the cookies-many broke. I made the snowmen with pretzel sticks to hold them up and other candy. Thanks for looking!

10" and 6" cakes iced in buttercream. White sparkles around snowlike edges. Snowman and snowmam are Christmas ornaments (I added the bouquet and veil). Snowflakes are also ornaments held on with royal icing.

This is a cake I made for my families Christmas party and seeing as that practically everyone in my family but me is diabetic I had to cut the sugar in both the cake and frosting. That was hard but it was actually pretty good if I do say so myself. I made the tree with the ice cream cone. I love doing those... but they kill your hand too! :o)

I took this cake to church for a potluck we had and the theme was birthdays. There were 12 different tables decorated for each month of the year. I thought it was a great idea and it was also alot of fun.

These cookies were a lot of fun to do with the children. The dough was almost like play dough and we could shape it anyway we wanted.

My first tiered cake for course 3. I couldn't bear to make all those fondant roses... and it's just the time of year for poinsettias.

Pictures of Snowmen. Experimented using fondant on the scarfes to see which was faster... I actually have to say putting the scarfes on with royal icing was a bit faster...

This cake changed designs every 2 minutes. I went to make snowflakes, but couldn't, new design. It take tens times longer to make a cake when the design changes. LOL. Chocolate cake, cream cheese frosting, buttercream deco(mainly because I ran out of cream cheese after putting on the leaves). I will find a way and time to do snowflakes, I'm determined.

This is one of six cakes I made this weekend for the Make a Wish Christmas party. The cake is iced in buttercream. The house is made from foam core board that was painted with Americolor warm brown color thinned with vodka. The trees were made with ice cream cones and royal icing. Fondant snowmen and some plastic decorations. The snow was made with powdered sugar sprinkled over the cake with sparkling sugars to add some sparkle.

What fun this was! And nothing went wrong this time lol. Got idea from gallieries. White choco cake 2 layer, and White as snow frosting from here (Awesome recipe). MMF snowman. Was for lady whose commercial kitchen I'm going to use when I go into biz one day! Oh only prob was found out at 2am I had no more green when I went to do trees (had yellow/blue though lol). You can't tell from pic but I sprinkled sugar mixed with gold dust on the trees etc for snow. I will find out today how they liked the cake.

I did these for a ladies' Christmas party my mom was in charge of this weekend. They were a lot of work w/ all the detail, but were really fun. I didn't charge her for them except for cost of bags, ribbons, etc., (it was for her church -- and only 2 dozen of them) but what do you think they are worth each?

White almond sour cream cakes with raspberry, bavarian cream and chocolate bavarian cream fillings. Everything is edible. Trees are ice cream cones piped in BC using tip 352, snow people are MMF, Royal holly leaves and berries.
