12" Marble w/BC. I made this cake for our family picnic, in our old small hometown on Route 66, where we grew up. Everyone loved it. This is my 4th time using bct, getting a little better at it.

This was a graduation cake I made this past weekend for a few friends of my daughters. The cake itself was strawberry with creamcheese filling. The decorations were made with gum paste and then covered with edible images. The tire tracks on the cake were made from rice paper. Yes there is a long story behind the decorations as they represent something that happened to each of them.

A white chocolate cake with white chocolate/lemon buttercream. Pastillage helmet painted with luster dust. Chocolate transfer and fondant signs. Fondant highway. Can of Wilton airbrush spray (smelled like mint....wonder how that'll taste with lemon and white chocolate...) I'm thoroughly disgusted with it, but my DD likes it.

This was for a realtor who sold her first house. Covered in BC, figure is fondant, sold sign was done on computer and attached to a dowel covered in fondant. Figure was too top heavy and started to lean!

I totally stole my friend Andrea's idea (she hasn't posted her cake yet) and I believe she got the idea from mthiberge. I changed "Beef" to "Tofu" just because I like the word tofu better! My turkey did not come out as well as others on this site. I had issues!
Cake is 8" chocolate w/ choc. whipped cream filling and choc. BC icing and leaves. Gumpaste/fondant turkey and pumpkins. Happy thanksgiving!

I really loved the plates, etc. for this theme- so cute! The mom wanted a half sheet cake shaped like a 1, so this was the result. Fun cake to do!

Cake for a man turning 40. Wife wanted over the hill theme. Cake is Finnish recipe since he comes from Finland. Thanks to Jan H and Jenni (aka karurislapsi) for the recipe ideas. Each cake is 4 layers filled with whipped cream, strawberries and pineapple. Loved the cake posted by rstml, so TRIED to duplicate her ideas- thanks for the inspiration! Fun to include stuff like college logo, palm trees (CA), buckeye trees (now live here in OH), kids as exit signs and an old man hanging on in back!

2 cakes were for an engagement Party for my neighbor's daughter & a surprise for the future son in law. The Rest. Sign, from their 1st date & engagement - covered in B/C over lemon layer cake/ganache. The yellow lights looked amost real over the dark blue. The Beer cap is covered in grey/black Marzipan for the bottle cap effect, I made the Grain Belt sign from White/Red Chocolate to mimick the Grain Belt sign in St. Paul. MN which they saw on 1st date. They loved both cakes.

Cake is covered in B/C icing. All decorations are gumpaste. He is a big UK fan so rather than making flowers for the "green" side, I piped UK on the sides in blue. Then on the "gloom" side I piped UK in black.

This was for a little boy turning 5 who is very into road signs and is having a Disney Cars themed b-day party. 2 10 inch yellow cakes iced in buttercream with a FBT stop sign top. @nd time doing a FBT and 1st time doing one the whole size of the cake top. Had a few little areas that didn't want to come off the wax paper. But I'm pretty happy with it.

Airbrushed fondant for the first time as the primary color. Sooo much easier than kneading in color! All fondant with buttercream borders and writing.

Police-themed cookies for the department's graduation tomorrow.

Made the badges with a template because couldn't find one that 4" size in time...but did see one a www.kitchengifts.com I liked!

Cars are from the Mustang cookie cutter on the same site and just cut the 8 sides from a regular circle for the stop signs.

Cookies are gingerbread and chocolate sugar cookies.
