This is a two-layer 10-inch, topped by a two-layer six-inch. One layer chocolate, one layer vanilla in both cases. Buttercream icing - crusting for the blue....whipped buttercream for the clouds. Fondant plaque with edible image topper. Fondant stars brushed with luster dust.

A cake for a frog-themed baby shower, and loosely based on the invitation (top right corner). The ladybugs and bees are royal icing, and the frogs are hand-sculpted MMF. Each little frog is in a different pose. My favorite is the one who has his hand over his mouth -- he looks like he's up to something!

8" and 6" French Vanilla cakes iced with Whimsical Bakehouse Buttercream, torted and filled with raspberry buttercream. Bear is a hand modelled fondant figure. Not happy with this one but decided at 3 AM that sleep was more important!

I got this idea from the website and changed it a bit. The cake is marble with BC icing and the starts & moon are fondant.

My first MMF cake. Turned out pretty nice I think and customers were pleased! I learned that if I use cornstarch that it makes the fondant too hard to work with.

I designed this cake to match the baby's nursery. MMF decorations over crusting buttercream. Had a lot of trouble with the seams of my rope finish for each layer. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I made the frog out of fondant, and then followed the feeling to create a whimsical, fairytale baby shower cake. It's a little busier than I wanted it to be (I got carried away!!!), but I am happy with it overall. The well is carved from cake and iced in buttercream, with edible glitter to give the water some shimmer.

I got the idea for the baby from several CC members and a Wilton book. The rest I just sort of figured out as I went. This was my 2nd attempt at MMF- turned out great because I didn't use very much crisco.

Invite had a cute little stork on it - went with this adorable cake topper that my local cake supply store had. Lucky me because my own stork didn't fare too well, so my backup became my plan "A" after all!

Cakes are White Almond Sour Cream Wedding Cake. Round Cake is covered with MMF and MMF decorations. My version of Wilton's Baby Clothes Line Cake. The Baby is a Wilton Cake Topper. The other 2 sheet cakes are covered with BC. The overall and buttons are MMF. Since this was for a very large baby shower (100+ guests) the customer wanted a cute cake for the table and plain sheet cakes to serve from the kitchen. Thanks for looking.

1st time for fondant bow, stacking a cake, paid-for cake! The sheet cake is 1/2 WASC, 1/2 chocolate, 8" layered cake is lemon. All buttercream. The shoes are ceramic (and weird - they look like they're for the same foot!) and were bought...I didn't know there was a pattern for making fondant baby time. The cake was for a co-worker's grandson - he was born one week before the shower.
