My first order! For a friend's daughter's 13th birthday. She wanted shamrocks. I got the idea of the topper from Aaris's pics. Fondant curliques & balls. They loved it. I could see all of my mistakes but when four 13 yr old girls start screaming I guess its a success! :-)

8" cake frosted with BC, covered with MMF. Painted with luster dust. The shamrocks and coins are MMF. Shamrock sprinkles around base. Made this for my daughter's cast party. The play is set in Ireland, and is about leprechans.

My sister got married on St. Paddy's Day. She never had a tiered wedding cake on her wedding day, so I made her this cake on her first anniversary (right after I took my first classes). It was my first tiered cake and took me about 8 hours to do - no joking!

This one is all MM BC. I free handed the text and shamrocks, used a couple of the designer presses for the swirls on the sides. I got the blue background by cutting the center out of a large piece of wax paper and laid it on top of the cake. Used Wilton's spray blue, and then spray green on the corners of the cake. Thanks for looking!

My friend, Kelly, shares her birthday with St. Patrick's Day. It's a chocolate cake with peanut butter filling and buttercream frosting. Peanut butter Hershey kisses (her favorite candy) round the tiers. The top tier is ganache with a candy shamrock. Chocolate candy drizzle.

This was just tossed together for family to eat. The shamrock was made by placing a heart-shaped cookie cutter on the surface and sprinkling colored sugar inside...and repeating three more times.

Excuse the bad picture quality.
Shamrock cake I made for St. Patty's pistachio cake with pistachio mousse filling.
The shamrocks were a lot of fun to make, I used tip 103 on some and 101 on others to make modified primrose petals. Got a lot of compliments.

I made this for a work function and on the way into the building my husband DROPPED it. It tipped over and somehow I grabbed it and shoved it back on the cake board. You can't tell too much from this angle, but the back has 3 finger holes and some of the border fell off. Once it was on the table, no one could tell. The top is chocolate fudge with buttercream filling/icing and covered in green Satin Ice. The bottom is the same, but butter cake. Shamrocks are candymelts. It is painted with pearl dust.

This cake was for a girl who's birthday is on St. Patrick's Day, who is Irish, and is planning a trip to Ireland this summer with her family. My FBCT of the Celtic Knot broke, so I had to improvise last minute.

This cake was pulling double duty! I was a bit confused when I took the order, but this is what they wanted! It is a 9x13" sheet divided down the middle with 2 seperate decorations. On the first 1/2 they wanted Happy Birthday Mom w/ shamrocks (birthday was 3/17). On the other 1/2 they wanted "spring flowers" with Happy Mother's Day (this was the confusing Mother's Day is not until May!

Ok, made a few minor changes that I think helped overall. I put more gold on the letters and then "painted" the border with some of the left over lustre dust. I think it adds a nice touch. :)

Made using the Wilton shamrock pan. White cake with buttercream. Did this before I'd discovered CakeCentral and the Viva method. ;)

Here is a cake I made for a bridal shower. It is Key Lime cake with a wonderful homemade key lime filling covered in MMF. Made MMF roses and Shamrocks for the top and attempted to do scrolls on the sides.

These were decorated with soft icing. I go nuts decorating the shamrocks, trying to get as many different designs as I can think of.

This was for a friend's surprise 40th. Did a lot of research to get the type style accurate. All buttercream on the outside, the inside was chocolate with mascerated strawberry filling. YUM!

I made these cookies to practice for an upcoming St. Pat's Day celebration/bake sale at church. I got the vintage postcard pictures online and printed them on edible paper. I was happy with how they turned out, I think I will make the next batch a little bigger so you can see the art better. Thanks for looking!
